Waiting In line.

I've waited in line for an hour now, first Que I've ever hit on my server, damn newbs all flocked to the high pop server.

This on top of the 16 hr maintenance. This on top of the server crashing every 15 minutes after that. What the hell is going on over there?

right now i'm 1266 in line on Frostwolf. So far today I've waited in line 2 hrs today, and im lookin at 2 more.

I think I will be hitting 60 sometime...oh I don't know...probly in 2008 or 2009. I simply don't understand how everyone else does it.

But doesn't matter...I am still loving it. :p

(well except for this BS que thing...first time I have had to wait in a que for a month or so...and it is ridiculous. Currently 1308 Tichondrius)

During the server maintenance last Thursday, we performed a major upgrade to some of our database servers. At first the new servers performed flawlessly, but under heavy load at peak times, the new database servers are experiencing performance issues which have resulted in stability problems on certain realms, minor rollbacks and a problem with character retrieval upon login that some of you have reported.

Naturally we do not consider this an acceptable state of play for our customers. We are working around the clock to diagnose and remedy these problems. As a temporary solution, we have placed lower population restrictions on the affected realms; this results in queues when the population reaches a certain number. This is a short-term solution and, while undesirable, is in place to keep the realms more stable while we work on the main cause of the issues.

During the regular manintenance window that is scheduled for tomorrow, we will be making some additional changes that should allow us to increase the population restrictions on the affected realms. Our team is committed to resolving these issues as quickly and efficiently as they can. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

I ran into a queue, then as it loaded I got disconnected. Tried again, got the same thing. On the sixth try I finally got in only to be somewhere under the great sea. Couldn't see anything, just falling in limbo. Can't unstuck can't hearth. Waited on a GM for about 20 min before I said fuck it and found some warlock to summon me out of there.

And fool, god damn am I happy I'm above the leveling curve. I'm only 50 now, but going back to help some of our 35-40's in places like STV makes me happy I got those zones done with. For one they nerfed most of the rewards and buffed the mobs/amounts. Then you have the fact that the retard to regular player ratio is far higher, it just makes things shitty. I can go into high level zones and leave general chat on, but run into STV and Hillsbrad and it's horrid.

Shit tons of ganking on our server too. Usually the hunter camp is camped constantly and groups of 55-60's will roam just killing everything. Then you get the dicks that sit in the boats until zone load and kill whoever is stuck loading (which got 10x worse since the latest "improvements"). It was bad for a couple days, but revenge has been had lately.

I play on Darkspear, at present I have not seen a queue. I remember seeing them occasionally during Stress Test and Open Beta.

So I took a hint from that time and put a character on a low population server on release, because I had a feeling queues would come back.

Amazing what a little foresight can do.

Yea staying ahead of the main group of levellers is nice. When I levelled in Ashenvale, I never saw any horde and the chat was pretty much empty. Now if I'm passing through, there's easily 50 people from both sides constantly ganking each other.

There was an 800 person queue on Doomhammer last night, my gf & I said screw and went and watched a movie.
