Blood Veldt looked like Tribes on a farm in Kansas but I really liked the feel and the tall grass. Is it a remake or original?

that was a remake by ... damn i forget his name. delayed reaction i think.
and i thought i built all lighting and such. i'll check it out again. i may not have after messing with the flag stands. o well, what were the opinion on the base changes?

another weird thing Geiss. If you jump in a vehicle and exit it will fall right through the terrain and solid walls. If you enter the vehicle after that you can fly under terrain and through objects.
must have been some error while building.

yea, i think i forgot to do complete rebuild. not to worry about it right now ;)
but overall, the point in testing that was to see if it was any better balanced. thats the input i'm looking for right now...

Man, too bad I missed this. Were you guys playing the alpha version of Blood Veldt? I just finished the beta at around 10pm EST, but I had to leave so I couldn't let anyone know in IRC or whatnot. I'm glad to hear you guys enjoyed it.
There are a number of changes from the alpha to the beta actually. The major difference is I changed the flag stands drastically to make it more difficult to grab (I'm not sure if you guys found it too easy to grab the flag, but it seems so playing by myself). The new stand are really restrictive though, front->back grabs are very difficult to pull off now and the angles overall that you can grab from are significantly narrower. If it's too difficult to grab now I may end up doing something in between.
The BE gen is now on a platform, some boulders have been added, and the bases have been lit, zoned and fleshed out somewhat with static meshes. Hard to believe this is my first map in any game, but the 3DBuzz UnrealEd/Santa's tutorials really helped things along.

bloodveldt was the shazbot. definitely looking forward to seeing that map in a final state. pu was a good time, excluding that |TWL|dawg guy spamming global the entire effing time... ... ...
