News: Second T:V Singleplayer Demo!

That’s right VUG has released a second singleplayer demo to capture the on-tribing gamers interest. In this new demo you play "the role of Mercury, a robot assassin hired to locate and eliminate Daniel, a captain of the local Phoenix subclan."

If the Beta goes anything like ours went....oh boy.

This is obviously a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better mission to put in a demo for people who would be interesting in buying T:V for the SP. The gladiator one was just retarded for that purpose. When my DSL was down and I'd already finished the SP, this was the mission I ended up playing over a few times.

It probably doesn't take them very long at all to take their other SP demo and change the level that it uses, it's not like they've been working on this for weeks instead of the patch. This is a good thing for the game. :)

sadly it seems you are right...maybe this needed way more marketing than any other Tribes series to do well. All the other titles did pretty well with very little marketing...doesnt seem the case for T:V.

The people that never played tribes see the game as something completly different from what they have played. they would want to play a demo 1st instead of buying it. I have friend that saw me play tribes and thought it was just weird and after they played 4 just one turn, they where all over the game.

Guess it is good publicity, seeing as how that mission rocks my socks.
