I eat before ... then during and afterwards I make sure to drink lots of water. That is how you avoid the hangover :)

An excess of grease probably isn't a good idea. Your best bet would probably be sammiches, since the bread will help soak up the alcohol, keep things moderated a bit. And certainly don't stuff yourself, you don't wanna lose everything on your 3rd shot of 1800 ;)

how the hell does bread "help you soak up alcohol"

yeah, your friends are stupid. First, grease is dumb. Second, if you eat it takes more alchohol to get drunk...naturally. Don't eat a lot, but don't drink on an empty stomach or you'll regret it. Doesn't really matter what.

The main thing to do before a heavy night of drinking is Hydrate yourself before and if you can remember after as well. That hangover **** comes from dehydration. I've even given myself a bag of IV Fluids before. IV is good because you don't piss as much.

I think drinking loads of water is the best thing you can do before and after...

Water so you don't get dehydrated and have a hangover.

Then know your limit. You don't have to drink until you black out. I'd rather have a good buzz the whole night instead of getting ****faced 3-4 hours into it and throwing up/passing out.

PS Eat.

eat a banana

Those chasers DO NOT work.

During the day, eat healthy. You want to build up a buffer of vitamins because the alcohol is going to burn a ****load by the next morning. Greens and fruits. Pasta is good just before drinking, it'll provide energy and leave you less hungry in the morning. Be certain to eat before drinking as the alcohol will steal your appetite, you'll forget to eat and you'll feel like **** on the morrow.

Ginger is an ancient asian secret for smoothing out the stomach, which is why you see it served with so many asian and spicy dishes (I keep ginger pills on my boat for when people get seasick. You can get them at any drug store.)

If you have a firm stomach (I.E; no heartburn) you can take a vitapack before bed WITH LOTS OF WATER. But this can burn some peoples tummys. YMMV.

Water is the key component. Stay hydrated during the evening and fill up before bed. :bigthumb:

The drink water before bed is the most important thing.
Put a cup on your counter now so you won't forget. When you get home, drink a full glass of water before taking a shower. Refill the cup before going to bed and leave it on your night stand. As you wake up in the night to use the bathroom, drink more water.

In the morning drink some OJ with more water. You'll be starved in the morning, so have some food ready to eat. Best to visit the grocery tomorrow morning and stock up on the OJ and food.
