Dawn?
Dunno what it was, but by the time Horizons came out, there wasn't much of a community left for it.
You should've seen the community built around way back before all the stupid changes; it was lot like the TW of old in a sense, only more focused on the game.

The thing that stole all the community was the radical change in direction. They took out everything the fans loved and just made it into a little EQ. The art direction went to shit, the design went to shit, and they ignored the fans for so long everyone lost interest. I'd been following that game for a long time, then they announced the layoffs of several key people and didn't say a damn thing for almost 6 months before telling everyone "hay guys, we're doing the exact opposite of what we set out to do, and we're also making it look gay. Isn't it super?"

Anyways, I want to hear what happened to this guy.
Still waiting for the sequel to this thread :o

Response from the professor (follow up)

Matt,

That was a clerical error, and I apologize for that. Apparently, someone used an old spreadsheet and did not merge the changes I made once I graded your second project. You DID receive a 93 for the second project, and I will get the matter resolved immediately on Monday.

Although I am not 100% certain, I believe a "D" grade will not interfere with you obtaining your diploma. But I will follow up with the appropriate parties to ensure that you do in fact receive your diploma. In the meantime, should you have any problems with your employer I will do whatever you need me to do. If you need me to speak with anyone, I will be more than happy to do so.

Should you need to contact me you can call me at my personal cell phone at ###-###-####. Once again, my apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you or your family.

On a side note, my brother teaches some courses at the IUPUI campus for Purdue University and he was really bothered by it. He says that when a professor submits grades to the university he has to put his signature on half a dozen different documents that state he has throroughly and completely gone over each students grade for accuracy and fairness. When a student complains about a grade to the dean or a higher authority because of a clerical mistake, they can really catch hell if it happens a lot, to the extent of losing their job.

If he fixes it Monday like he says then all will be fine, and I won't file the grade appeal with the dean's office.

And to those who said I should have checked my grade during the year, know that I actually got the grade sheet back with a big fat 93% stamped across the front. The course has a "check your grades" website, but it was only updated once at about week 4 of the 18 week semester. It was never updated after that, and I had no reason to think my prof. would screw it all up.

Also, I still want to see proof that he didn't deserve the D. Post your work.
