I'm building, or should i say upgrading, a computer and would like to know the most affordable (but good enough to not bottleneck my vid card's performance) AMD Processor/AMD motherboard combination. I'll be using Windows XP Pro and a Radeon 9800XT (256MB). I'm also using standed IDE cables for both harddrives.

If this is your personal combination, could you suggest RAM options also.

Thanks in advanced. If you need any other info, i'll get back to you ASAP.

A high end Sempron or Athlon XP wouldn't bottleneck a 9800 XT. For socket A, I'd recommend an Abit NF7-S mobo. What RAM you need would depend on your CPU's FSB, but I'd recommend getting DDR400 no matter the choice, to benefit you in the long run.
