Do I always have to make clarity for TW kiddies?

This thread should be titled, TCS dies. NOT T:V is dead. T:V is NOT dead you morons. All you have to do is go over to TWL and notice that there are 59 teams signed up for T:V competition!

Do I have to educate you too?

T:V is a great competition based game set for smaller player counts and faster paced action than in T2. Tournament mode does work, but you need a lot of hardware and bandwith to run this game.

THIS is where T:V is hurting since the majority of gamers don't have systems that will allow them to effectively play this game. Not to mention the timing of the T:V release was horrific going up against some major competition.

The only people who bitch about T2 are T1 vets. T1 vets will buy T:V or at least try it since they are hopefull it will be different from T2 base..

Yes!! I bought T1 and T2 and Im A T1/T2 Vet. I bought TV becuase of T1 and T2. Then I installed it and was so missled thinking it was going to be like T1/T2. That was the only reason I bought it! Thinking that the graphics, new vehicles, and weapons would be added to the game. Only to find out the only thing was like T1/T2 was the jetpacks. Eveything else was removed from the game! So you wonder why people are pisssed off!

T:V is fun. Hopefully the major technical glitches will be solved by the patch.

As for all the people quiting, I think it has nothing to do with T:V because its a great game. I think people just don't want to invest the time and effort to be good at a new tribes game (that or they're just sick of Tribes).

Last I checked there was three armor classes, invs, gens, jetting, skiing, capping, raping, discing, mortaring, chaining, defending and a whole lot more. How the f uck can you say everything was removed from the game? I played T1, I played T2 and I f ucking love T:V.

I'm just hoping that T:V will survive the Christmas season. Though HL2, Halo2, et al. are certainly good games, it's my opinion that any single one of the Tribes series offers a wealth of gameplay and depth of strategy that the big guys simply lack.

Though I may disagree with them, I've got nothing against those who don't like T:V. Their points are generally well-made, and they're entitled to their opinions. It's just worrisome for those of us who do really enjoy the game and believe in its potential to see it struggle like this. With any luck, the patch will be good enough and enough people will be willing to look past the big releases this December to see what Tribes has to offer, and we can keep the community going.

I can't speak for other people here, but I'm not tired of tribes. I still play T:V. But it's not addictive. I play it out of sheer need for something tribes. That's about it.

I think TTHREAZ hit it on the head with the wet frisbee comment. The whole game has a "wet frisbee" feeling to it.

I think the best correlation I can give at the moment is like a bike. An expert can jump a bike, he can ride it sideways, do wheelies, etc. There's basically no end to the creativity that can spawn from this bike. That's what T1/T2 was like.

In T:V I feel like I'm riding a bike with a seatbelt and training wheels. I know how to get off the seat and stand on the handlebars but it won't let me. I know how to do a wheely, but when I do it with training wheels it looks stupid. It's the same in T:V. There's no aspiring skill level to get to. I played the game for 6 hours and plateaued. I'm getting better but nothing drastically past my initial experience.

BTW, Gallagher starts his shows by throwing wet Frisbees into the crowd. Just thought I'd share. ;)

I was just thinking about it:

T1 MA = BOOOM!

T2 MA = CRASH!

T:V MA = psshhh

Anybody else bothered with the fact that killing the flag carrier only yields a tiny little "plink"? If I take the guy down, I want to feel it, damnit.

I'm kinda behind the times. Is there a LakRabbit for T:V yet? :ftard:
