T:V the tribes killer

Ergo I conlcude it doesn't deserve the title of Tribes.

You can only call a game Tribes if it has LARGE scale maps A LA T2?

Ever play the original Tribes?

I'll take T2's "getting it wrong" with 5k online anyday.

I'll take T2's getting it wrong AND T:V getting it wrong, and play them till something better steals my interest.

I see the same 3 or 4 peeps I've never heard of before in here tryin to say T:V kicks ass, and everyone else who have been here the last 5+ years noticing that T:V has serious problems.

I guarantee that KA didn't enjoy starting a thread with this title, and none has really enjoyed having to post in it either. We would all much rather post in the "T:V has passed 10,000 online at all times" thread...

Since my opinion matters so very much, I loved T2 and literally am bored to death in T:V. Boredom can kill a game too.

Pretty much how I feel. I love tribes so much. I've played it constantly for 5+ years, pretty much every day. I have been on shazbotty pubs and awesome pubs. I have been on shazbotty tribes and awesome tribes. I've pretty much experienced everything that me, personally, am capable of experiencing.

I was pumped for T:V because I thought it might revive things, get things back to the golden era of either game. I loved it for about 1-2 weeks when I bought it. Pubs still sucked or they were awesome, depeneding on the server. It got to the point though that I just wasn't feeling it. T:V never reeked of awesomeness the way T2 and T1 had for me.

So, my plan is to keep it installed (since it takes the whole effing day to install :P). Im gonna sit out for a few months and not even touch it. I won't even follow the community, just whore GD. I'll check back up on it in Spring. (Or earlier if things heat up).

I just need a break from all things tribes I think. It's ruining my experience for T:V.

T:V is a duelists dream. I guess that's why I love it.

You're effin nuts. The insane rate of fire on the disc launcher ruins the dueling aspect of the game altogether.

they should give TV away for free, and change all of the flags to online ads they sell to advertisers.

1. Gren Launcher Firing Delay = NO FIRING DELAY = SPAM
2. Blast Radius For All Projectiles Is WAY Exaggerated = SPAM.
3. ChainGun Is Worthless As Hell And Only 4 Hits With It Take Out Your Opponent = SPAM CRAP.
4. NO HEALTH KIT.

My opinion is that TV is just very piss poor Unreal mod.They should have contracted the top the Dynamix guys to take the strengths of T1 and T2 and combined them in a modernized torque engine with fancy shaders.I've played UT2004 with some mutators like a jetpack,air control and matrix moves...and it plays better TV in alot of ways.Looks nicer and runs faster on higher resolutions
than TV does at lower res.

there is nothin wrong period. everygame is smooth. everygame is fun. there is plenty of skill and plenty of skill to be yet discovered.

this is my specs for gaming only. no pron has every been on my gamer. this is probably the real reason most peeps shazbot crashes. if you are not fortunate enough to have a dedicated gaming machine only----> then shut the hell up about ur feable sys specs and ur crashin.

If all you guys keep doing is whining because T:V isnt T1 ,or T2.....well its not supposed to be , and its not T3, its a PREquel to T1...everyone forgets that.....therefore the tribes technology has to follow. Also, if you drag it down there will not be ANY more in the series.Playin T1, &T2 is like playing quake 1 & 2 if you even stiill have them installed you are not a REAL gamer, go tell fatal1ty you challenge him to a duel in T2 , he will laugh in your face......

I wanted to give TV a fair chance after living through T2s launch crime and subsequent rebirth before casting my vote. Now Im sure there will be updates and scripts coming down the road that may improve things but at this point I gotta call it a loss.

There something missing, not sure what. At first I thought it was just a normal reaction to having to learn new things, or the fact that I dont know the maps like I do T2s, but its more than that.
Maybe it plays better in the Southern Hemisphere????? :shrug:

When Im running with the flag or chasing someone w/flag there is an actual physical reaction, sometimes its on the same level as how you feel right after passing a cop speeding or avoiding an accident at the last moment.

Ive yet to have that reaction in T2.

But then again Im a newbie so who am I pass judgement. :devil:

OK then, TV sucks, its a hack ripoff of UT 2004 Onslaught mode. :cry:

I like it. 'Nuff said....as long as there's enough people to play on a server with (which there are), that's all I care about. Everyone that doesn't like it, go play T2 or T1...I don't care.

T:V is pretty good, but not as good as it was hyped up to be. I was really dissapointed since my Tribes experience mainly comes from T2 which I still love and T:V is really far away from that.

Oh well, it's really hard for a game to make it nowadays with all the great games coming out.

I played T1 and had FUN.

I played T2 and had FUN.

I played T:V and had NO FUN.
