I have your basic linksys router, how can I get it to allow DCC send/recieve?

Shinigami 11-22-2004, 05:11 PM Be aware that if you set yourself as the DMZ, you're no longer behind a firewall. iNVAR 11-22-2004, 05:19 PM this really depends on how smart your router is. but usually, you need to to go the options in mirc under Connect. go to Local Info, and check the box that says On Connect always get Local Host, and lookup method needs to be Server. then go to the DCC options and have the first and last ports a certain range, like 1024 to 1050. open those ports up in your linksys firewall and map it to your computer. that's YOUR computers range for DCC sending. every computer behind your router that needs it to DCC receive, you shouldn't have to do anything at all.
