I just bought a Toshiba A70 laptop, with ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 on board. Most of my 3D video games (Direct 3D, OpenGL) work great and I can definitely see the 3D acceleration and effects working. I'm almost positive that when I first installed Tribes Vengeance, the 3D acceleration was working fine. However, ever since I updated T:V to 1.01, or whatever it is, the graphics look horrible. Almost as if the game isn't detecting my 3D features and using Direct3D or OpenGL. Everything is a bit choppy, aliased, and very pixely. I look up at the sky and sometimes the clouds look like a bunch of little squares. The water effects are non-existant. I've tried both the Mobility Radeon drivers from Toshiba's website, as well as the ATI Omega drivers, and still have the same problem. I remember that with Tribes 2 there was a way to edit an .ini file or something to enable/disable OpenGL, etc... But I cannot find ANYTHING in the game or on the cd for how to configure my graphics card... I'd love to play the game properly but as of right now, it's pretty crappy. Must have something to do with the last Tribes Vengeance update I ran, because it worked fine before, I just couldn't play multiplayer till I ran the update. Can anyone help?
