An open letter to all TRIBES fans

Dear TRIBES fan,

TRIBES:Vengeance's numbers are low. To some people, this is bad.

THERE. IT'S BEEN SAID, IT'S BEEN ADMITTED!

The good and the bad GUESSES why the numbers are low, make no difference. There are NO REAL statistics, facts, "exit polls", or votes with substaniated numbers that are available to the public. There are only online player counts, small group opinions, and predictions being used.

The factors and conditions during this game release do NOT match any other TRIBES release in history.

Some people are ready to call this "election" because of what they think they have already seen and because of their predictions, but many are still waiting on the REAL documented facts to be available.

One thing is certain. The ones who think and want T:V to be a total loss have been working hard to promote that feeling across the TRIBES community, instead of giving TRIBES:Vengeance a fair chance and letting it succeed or fail on it's own.

With all the competition out there, things are pretty cut-throat in the marketplace, without the naysayers help.

Most potential new players out there don't know anything about TRIBES. Reading negatives everywhere will NOT in any way persuade one of them to even try the FREE versions of T1, T2, or T:V. In the end, a whole lot of "old" folks will know TRIBES and a whole lot of younger folks won't want to touch T1, T2, T:V, or the TRIBES name with an 11-foot pole.

The reason for this is NOT TRIBES:Vengeance. It is because of all the NEGATIVE community atmosphere that is a dark cloud surrounding it. This cloud covers not just T:V. It spills over and is covering T1 and T2.

The naysayers are so interested in voicing their opinions and being right that they fail to see their TRUE influence and destructive power on TRIBES in general.

I am pretty sure the TRIBES franchise's competitors LOVE this arrangement!

I welcome your comments on this post, please try to stay focused.

THANK YOU.

Signed,

MagicFire

cliffs: stop talkin' shazbot 'bout tribes.

i agree, feedback is one thing but damn. THE GAME SUCKS, eff THE DEVS, DON'T BUY IT EVER & RETURN IT ASAP IF YOU DO,TRIBES IS DEAD, TRIBES IS DYING, IM PEEING ON TRIBES' ROTTING CARCASS, GO PLAY HALO INSTEAD! etc. etc.

you'd think these people were here just to hurt sales (maybe on behalf of another publisher) or something, not as tribes players...

Accually, he is right to an extent, some people voice their opinion which is absolutley fine and they are entitled to that, but then again those same people repetitively continue to voice that same opinion in every thread posted even if it is not relivent...

Face you just provided a perfect example, people only need to say I don't agree and why.... but instead they come out and tell everyone to drop the game just because they don't prefer it. For those of you that do this, I expect to get flamed for this by you but its time someone said it none the less, grow up and find a little maturity within yourself!

I agree. We need to put T1 down for a second and realize the potential of T:V.

This is no different from the T2 bashing that went on and still does to this day, yet T2 enjoyed a large online audience despite it. No, it is not TW's fault the game has fallen on it's ass online.

Somewhere, in all that I said, I must have not explained something well.

My point is:

When a new player wants help and is looking for a community, where should they go? Where CAN they go without getting a shot from the naysayers about how bad the numbers are, how the game isn't TRIBES, how it's UT with Jet-Packs, and how it's going to be a loss, for example. Where is that united community that desires to grow TRIBES? Where is that united community that is trying to bring new players into the fold? Where are they?

I see so many attacks by people who say in one breath, "I LOVE TRIBES" and in the other breath speak about how "TRIBES:Vengeance is a big loss." Yes, I know it's TRIBES:Vengeance that they are talking about, but to a NEW player TRIBES:Vengeance is TRIBES! If T:V is bad, then why even try the older versions and even believe this one is such a big deal. Many older players show lack of confidence, so why should a new player risk the money when the community they find has expressed that it's not worth it?

In the end, the sad thing is that the entire community loses a potential TRIBES player, not justing hurting T:V, but T1, T2, and the TRIBES name.

Q: What's worse for a community than criticism?

A: Self-destruction.

EDIT: Spelling fixes

i don't know what’s worst ... reading and posting about how the game is going no where, or reading posts about the posts that explain how bad the game is ... all your doing is adding to the mix, and giving the "haters" things to post about ... it's a double edged sword to whine about the whine ... it's all funny as hell to read ... moronic, but funny.

I still get surprised when peoples "feelings" get hurt on a message board
If people never wanted to get insulted they should stay with their mom or hang out on
the Barbie boards.
Plain and simple, deal with it, or press the ignore button.

Play T:V? Why

Have they fixed anything yet?

They cant fix it with tweaks .. .. . . it would have to be a re-release featuring content that made Tribes more then a fast paced jet packing shooter.
