There seems to be no indecator arrow to let you know which way your spotlights are pointing. Needless to say, this makes it rather tough to line the suckers up right!
[Bug: Editor] No directional arrow for spotlightsBitRaiser 11-16-2004, 03:08 PM There seems to be no indecator arrow to let you know which way your spotlights are pointing. Needless to say, this makes it rather tough to line the suckers up right! IrritAnt 11-16-2004, 04:44 PM Click on the spotlight in a viewport. Right click on the window bar of the viewport you've got the spotlight highlighted in. Select Actors>Radii View. This will turn on the radius view for all actors, not just spotlights. For spotlights, the Lighting>LightRadius determines how far the spotlight will shine, and the Lighting>LightCone determines how wide it will be. BitRaiser 11-16-2004, 04:49 PM Shlick. Thanks. Heehee... this beats my work around of lining the light up with a static mesh light, setting the mesh to face in the same direction as the default spot, then rotating both of them at once. ;) IrritAnt 11-16-2004, 04:52 PM If you click the Lock To Selected Actor button and then click on the spotlight, the camera will move and rotate the face the same direction the spotlight is facing. You can then move your view and the spotlight will move with it. Just click the button again to "disengage" from the spotlight. Makes lining up spotlights and sunlights a lot easier. BitRaiser 11-16-2004, 05:03 PM Yeah... I got that one figured out. The only problem is that I like to have actual sorces for my lights and it's hard to see your source static mesh when you're locked to the light. Some screenies on what I'm up to are over here: http://community.vugames.com/WebX?14@127.jZSvdN9JZkq.8 483033@.1dd8c5ec | ||
