T:V Review in PC Gamer

Given that, I'm somewhat amazed that T:V got as high a rating as it did.Pft, I swear PC Gamer works on a sliding bribe scale - the score you get is proportional to however much money you give them. Apparently, Menzo didn't bribe them enough.:p

What a horrid excuse for a job. You come to the community when you want us to back you up, but when we ask for the basic things that a Tribes game should have (working tourney mode, observer, decent netcode, workable mod ability, etc)...what is your response?

True. Tribes2 had a ton of advertising and got that score... and if you notice none of PC Gamer's exclusive reviews are ever bad. They get paid so much so they are obliged to score rather high. With HL2 however I don't think they had to give it that high of a score, haha... that was the reviewers inflated opinion. We'll see next week though.

If they want to score it at 70%, fine. I think with the missing features and bugs taken into account, it seems like a fare score.

The review (which I did just read at the local corner store) was gawdawful tho. Like really bad. Like I hope the dude get's fired. I litterally know a 15 year old that is capable of better journalisem.

If TRIBES had a gravesite and a marker, I'd leave flowers there on a regular basis. It's that bad now. :(

Sounds like incompetant newbie journalist syndrome. Someone should get a copy of the UK PCGamer and quote it on here for comparison - Only an 80-something% score but damn that was a well written review.

Amen. I don't like the mag at all, but the sycophantic raving that takes place in here when people criticize the mediocrity which is TV is pathetic.

I would wholeheartedly suggest that you email PC Gamer and let them know what you think of their review. I certainly have.

Out of respect for the series:

I wont email pc gamer and tell them that thier review is about 10 points too high.

Just like many games nowdays, potentially great game bugged on release, and dissapearring dev team/publisher.

You guys were all over these forums when there was potential to use us to promote your product (just like this thread).
