With all this talk about cheating, I thought I would see where T:V stands. Personally, I have not come across a person which I am sure is cheating. I dont think aimbot's even exist. So if someone has evidence of cheating in some shape or form. Post it.

It exists, detection exists. We are at war now.

I fail to see the point of this thread. There are already a ton of others on this topic...

I will give you everything you count as evidence. Besides the bot itself.

The form of detection you prey on is very weak and can actually be used against you. What do you say to that?

Proof was made in a video. It exists.

It sux. Semi-easy to detect though.

i just want to see some sort of evidence and i will be happy. Cheats are bound to happen, especially w/ t3. Never the less some sort of evidence that a cheat exists would be discomforting.

As I allready said, what do you count as evidence if videos/demos aren't enough?

Most likely new ways of detecting hacks will come about either from the community, IG or 3rd party.

They are pretty easy to detect. Problem is with all the attention it gets every asshat on the server starts crying hax once they get chain gunned. The lamers calling everyone a cheat are a lot worse than the limited number that do cheat.

i can tell you right now i'm getting worried about being marked as a cheater myself.

1. if you use your radar pointer, you can be firing when someone comes over the hill, they could interpret that as a "wall-hack"
2. i've been practicing the buckler and chaining grapplers so i'm a little paranoid people will start going wtf you bs cheater.

i'm also interested in making sure that people are without a doubt guilty. right now the community seems a little rabid to persecute cheaters, which is good since it will scare off a lot of people who were thinking about giving those cheats a try, but i hope eventually systems iron out and its less a big witch hunt.

If you don't cheat, you have nothing to worry about.

Untrue.

Last night I tagged some poor bastard running HO with midair discs three times in a row. Add in the few hand grenades I tossed his way, and he was convinced there was something more than skill and luck going my way.

Truth is, he wasn't moving very fast, and the velocity he did have almost exactly matched my speed and direction, and I was having a wicked good game. Even so, there is a host of players out there that can outshine me on my best day, and getting accused of cheating isn't a fun experience. Especially if it is going to happen on a regular basis.

For the most part you can't accuse someone of using aimbot from just disc skill. It's when almost every chaingun bullet hits you from across half the map that you know...
