Another cheat that has been noticed is a flag capping cheat that autoaims a player from flag to flag when toggled. Ever wonder how come that enemy flag capper is one of the first ones chasing after you? Guess what? He doesn't want you, his aimbot just wants to touch the flag you're carrying.

Collective punishment doesn't do jack. If someone doesn't have enough respect for other teams to not cheat against them then he also won't feel bad about his clanmates getting punished for his wrong doing.

What?? This isn't about cheaters feeling bad, that obviously won't happen if they're willing to risk teammates/friends. This is making sure teams police themselves, and I believe that teams that win(or lose, in this case) with cheaters simply can't stay at that rung until they can get there without the cheaters.

Sorry to see it happen, but it's to be expected with the engine, IMO.

It was proven. No one came on the forums and read an accusation thread and decided to ban a few people. There are existing tools to detect some cheats.

The masses are not the ones that needed to see the proof. The ladder admins, the staff admins and competition admins were the ones that needed to see it and they made the call.

Correct... right up until the point any of them chose to "out" cheaters to the masses. Pointing fingers and naming names, without offering proof or details is never a particularly good policy.
