Orcus 11-09-2004, 01:16 PM Yeah fool thats what I know of so far. We had a discussion about what was out there in the demo review board forums.
The aimbot has the wallhack built into it and Halios radar which at this point everyone should have seen the videos release showing these working in T:V.
There is also the mortar/gren aim-bot for assets.
Falhawk 11-09-2004, 01:23 PM Johnny X']just ban everyone who challenges and pretty soon nobody will challenge
simple
excellent idea.
wanna be an admin?
StyeL 11-09-2004, 01:25 PM Sad to see a team captain caught cheating. Guess hacks are just too good to resist.
GoD-Chry 11-09-2004, 01:30 PM I knew masque, kinda. He wanted to try out and play for GoD... Glad we didn't even try him out now :o
{A} PR24 11-09-2004, 01:33 PM on a serious note though, i'm a little bit disturbed at not hearing anything or seeing any action from the TCS on this matter yet. that added to the fact that it was TWL's admins who caught them cheating in a match on another ladder doesn't make me feel too good about TCS. there's still plenty of time to remedy all of this, though. :)
You're eighter with us or against us.

It all comes down to how honest of a person you are in your daily life.
m4jik 11-09-2004, 01:35 PM This just in, PT has joined forces with myg0t. :scared:

Thanks I will let the DRB guys know.
Well I think there are two kinds of cheaters. Those who have to win at all costs, get themselves 'elite' status in the community etc. Then there are those who feel they have to cheat because they convince themselves it's the only way to stay competitive.
StyeL 11-09-2004, 01:57 PM I'd ban both.

i think there's a third kind too: people who want to test themselves and their hacking skills to prove (mostly to themselves, but also to their other uberl33t 12 year old friends) that they can "beat the system." these types are BY FAR the most dangerous IMO, cuz they dont give a shazbot about competition or the integrity of the game and will often have no second thoughts about distributing their work.
but eff all three of them. (or butteff all three of them :browsmile)
|CO|Kapeket!! 11-09-2004, 02:04 PM Outstanding!
Sorry to see this from those guys.

This is very very very bad. Perma iff's + this = sure death for comp.
g0ds gReeN 11-09-2004, 02:09 PM 1) Thank you cheat detection. Thank the effing lord aka thedreamer
2) I'd just like to say that we, aka PT, are deeply mortified by what has transpired in the past 13hrs. Most of us had no idea that our tribe was ridden with asses, although some had speculated but speculation without evidence leads nowhere. All of PT minus the f4ggots masque, bravo, & lancer aka skilz hope that this can be put behind us, although I'm sure that's easier said than done. And once all the rats with their finkly faces are sent to concentration camps, we can compete on a level playing field thanks mostly in part to the cheat detection. The only thing we can ask from TF( who beat PT + 3 cheaters last night, you guys rock)/grapple/riven/kore/and any other team we've scrimmed at this point is forgiveness for the actions of some that screwed the faith of many.
P.S. No offense to anyone with finkly faces.

it wasn't that.
I don't feel any ill will towards PT, just 3 players. I hope to see you guys back in the top 10 soon.
FantasticDamage 11-09-2004, 02:42 PM No ill will intended towards PT either here, but I still think they should be harshly punished and made an example of. This'll teach tribes to properly police their own tribesmen, which should be the first line of defense against cheating in competitive play. If you have any suspicion that someone in your tribe is cheating, make them submit a demo after a practice or scrimage, and not one of them on a "bad night", but one of them with their skills up to their full potention.
Punishing the entire tribe also creates the karate class mentality, in that if one person does something stupid, having the entire class extremely pissed that they have to do push ups cause of one dumb eff may be enough of a reason for that person not to do it again.

Collective punishment doesn't do jack. If someone doesn't have enough respect for other teams to not cheat against them then he also won't feel bad about his clanmates getting punished for his wrong doing.

I think you're wrong and some kids (not all) would be less likely to cheat knowing that if caught, their entire tribe is effed.
And I still stand by my first point, that policing your own clan should be the first line of competitive defense here, especially new recruits. g0ds gReeN even stated that their was some speculation among the tribe that certain people might be cheating.
