guy, i saw a lifesize Masterchief stand at my local bestbuy. I kept thinking, if there was a skimpy leather Julia standing right next to him, who would care about masterchief?
get on it.

Now THAT would be classic! :D Hybrid 11-09-2004, 08:56 PM I WANT TRIBES TSHIRTS GOD DAMMIT! FishStix 11-09-2004, 09:00 PM  thats actually really funny. spread the T:V word. Cinderkarst 11-09-2004, 09:36 PM Where was the big Tribes release party like this? Where was the huge pan-gaming community hype like this? Halo enjoys being one of the saving graces of a console system that was pretty much mediocre otherwise until Splinter Cell rolled in. If T2 would have hit the ground at the same speed as the first Halo, T:V would have had such a party I'd imagine. Rannic 11-09-2004, 09:43 PM halo is boring. Honestly. Why waste your time with Halo when you could be playing Tribes? ?B-MAN 11-09-2004, 10:39 PM Halo is a rip on Tribes. Tribes is the Godfather...Halo is just a babeh. The models on the other hand are pretty kick arse. ?B-MAN 11-09-2004, 10:43 PM Where was the huge pan-gaming community hype like this? If T2 would have hit the ground at the same speed as the first Halo, T:V would have had such a party I'd imagine. Yup T2 blunder really forced Tribes into the abyss in terms of exposure. If t2 didnt have the release bugs and nerfed gameplay this party would have been held several years ago for Tribes. Hate to repeat but Tribes was HUGE oversight...The Xerox PARC of games. And of course go figure HALO is huge and its owned by Microsoft. Just remember Half-Life 2 is coming out Nov 16 and Im betting it may eclipse Halo 2. guy.welch 11-09-2004, 11:51 PM I still have the PC Accelerator issue with Donna DiErico as the Tribes cover babe (May 2000) -- big shootout between the next gen shooters on the cover, Tribes 2, Halo, and Team Fortress 2. Well Microsoft bought Bungie and moved the game from PC/Mac to Xbox, then put more than 500 million behind Xbox with the Halo series as the flagship. You know the rest. Hey -- tell a friend all about this when they're considering Halo and haven't yet bought T"V ;) CED/Esmeralda 11-10-2004, 12:22 AM I still have the PC Accelerator issue with Donna DiErico as the Tribes cover babe (May 2000) -- big shootout between the next gen shooters on the cover, Tribes 2, Halo, and Team Fortress 2. ;) I still have all my PC Accelerator issues and that May one!! I loved that mag... T-shirts would be very cool and extra cash for VU!! :blockhead BitRaiser 11-10-2004, 12:39 AM What have I been saying about a Julia model, eh? EH?? Yeah, I'm gonna keep bringing it up. T:V needs to use some sex appeal to get noticed. It's built in, so why not capitalize on it? Seriously... imagine your at a games trade show. Up high on a platform with flashy lights and lots of glitz is MasterChief. To the side in a more humble booth is Julia, decked out in tight lyca and body armour... un-zipped in all the right places. Now, unless there's something wrong with you (or aren't male) are you really going to be more interested in "the Halo Guy" or the "Princes of Pain"? Same goes for mags 'n stuff. It might be "low" advertising, but it would work! Hey -- tell a friend all about this when they're considering Halo and haven't yet bought T"V ;) Oddly enough, PC Accelerator was the first PC gaming magazine I ever purchased. And of course the first issue I picked up had coverage of Halo and T2. I don't know if it was the May issue though. Ah, but I ramble... Bluntzman 11-10-2004, 10:58 AM Come on guy, at least post both pics. http://upload.serverseed.com/pictars4/halo2-tribes2.jpg | ||
