Server Admin question - Map Rotation

I'm having some trouble understanding how the rotation is working. I thought my ini with the maps listed in it had something to do with it... wrong. Then I thought I could use the web admin... wrong again....

Soooooo, is there some way to control the map rotation other than moving map files out of the server map directory?

And why doesn't the web admin map rotation work(I think I know the answer to that one), is it working for anyone?

??? You change the map rotation in the .ini file. Make sure you do it when the server is NOT running.

Yet on the default rotation and map list of server admin webpage it is there(see pics below). Other maps show up in rotation when they are commented out also. When I try to adjust the default cycle in the webadmin nothing happens, none of the buttons appear to work!?!?!?

Yeah I get the same shazbot. The map rotation DOES NOT work for TV because the dev team are effin idiots.

When I try... TRY and rearrange my map cycle via the web admin, my server crashes. So I have to do a map change when ever I want to play a different map. BTW for some reason I don't think the webadmin looks at the ini file, but I could be wrong. I think it looks for the maps in the DIR and adds them alphabetically. Because I didn't want MP-Dunes on my server anymore since it's a POS. So I shut down the server, removed it from the ini and restarted it. But the effin map was STILL in rotation.

They should have used Torque with the new Torque Shader Engine.

are you using your own custom named ini file, or just adding to the default one? could be causing a problem... no issues when i setup a specific named ini file for the server, then pass it as a command in my server shortcut...

oh yeah, and for the webadmin issue... try upgraded to byteweb over http://byte.zenegg.com, cuz i think he fixed some of the problems the default had.

I use a specific named ini and pass it on the command line also.

Beta_Dedicated_Server.exe mp-arid?maxplayers=24 ini=tv_server.ini log=tv_server.log


I tried the byte web... still no go. I just can't get any of the maps out of rotation. I have to delete or move the map file out of the Maps directory to get it out of rotation. (the reserved slot stuff is great though!)

I will be releasing an updated version in a day or so, that features Locked Game option and also possibly some MapList management of some sort...

I will release it as Beta to try and work out any issues, but I will update here when its ready
