cheat codes for SP?

Are there any cheat codes for the Single Player side of the game? I just want to skip a level and go on to the next one. It's the one where the little girl has to get up a stair well with a grappler. I reached the technician and now I have to climb up the stair well some more. :ugh:

I understand that it's all part of the experience and training. OK, I get it: she's lost and confused, and I can use the grappler a bit. But the amount of time I have to spend playing the character of a 5 year old girl climbing up a wall is severly limited.

Is it possible to enter a code to jump to the next level?

Here's a hint...grapple to the first busted up level (the small chunk) and then just run up the side of the wall where the edge is. I think that works..from what I've heard as a quick cheat past that level.

Just remember to SAVE the game, by name, each time you reach a new height.

I'm playing the HARD difficulty level and it took several tries to learn how to use it efficently.

Here's an even bigger hint: You're going to need the grappler even more in later levels, so don't give up.

I believe if you can get the exact level name, just typing in: open <mapname>

would do it. I'm fairly sure that doing it with the .tvm extension works, but for safetys sake just leave it without the file extension.

EDIT: And if you can't beat that level you really should just spend some time and try to beat it. It can be fustrating, but it's a rather important skill to learn.

Yeah ur right i guess, it just ruins the point of it all. To learn how to use all of the weapons/tools available to you in the game.

Some of the stuff was really fun to replay and mess around with.. like the speed trial where you ski back and forth. That is really fun in god mode with 999 disks for multiple djs. :bigthumb:

I agree with what's the point of cheating in SP but that's not the only use for cheats.

If you're getting desperate you can type "campaignnext" in the console to skip to the next mission or sub-mission.

But like everyone says, the practice is worthwhile, so use this new power only as a last resort :)

I agree we are in desprate need of a patch. How is it coming along?

let them take their time, things get messed up when they are rushed.

I don't want them to rush this one out, It's just that we've heard nothing of the patch so far. Any news would be appreciated EVEN IF things are subject to change.

BTW, if you can make it up one floor in that level, you can hop up onto the stairway railing and walk all the way to the top. I only learned this after I had actually grappled all the way to the top, but it saved a buddy o mine some frustration. The level really is inspired and worth completing, if only to keep the storyline in tact.

Is that part really that hard? I beat that on my first try on normal without a hitch?

i actuallly enjoyed just walking on the edge.

You don't really ever have to use the Grappler. I find it's a waste of a slot most of the time. Really I only ever use two weapons, sometimes just one. The Burner is amazingly useful for just about everything.

The chunk of masonry and a few seconds of divine assistance (God mode) did the trick. :roller:

btw, there's nothing in the forum rules about asking for cheat information. SP cheats are for people with limited time or patience; MP cheats are a completely different issue.
