I also hate the new copy protections but you have to realize this is the way things are going to be.

The main reason why they use the protection is to try to help stop piracy... yes i know it doesnt really work because there is always a way around the protections like no-cd patches etc....

These days the companies actually require some form of copy protection for them to even distribute. Yes, some legitimate users will get burned by some protection schemes but thats something you have to get used to.

I knew there would be issues with SecuROM for some folks (and I've been kicked in the teeth by it before), so I made a pre-epmtive post over on the VUG site tp help people out. Took a few revisions before it was acceptable to VUG, but I worked with their mods and came up with something that they found acceptable.
