Who exactly are we supposed to contact if we cannot join servers because our product keys are in use? It says to contact customer service... does this refer to Sierra's 1-800 number with recorded messages? I did not pay $50 to play a game where my CD key can be stolen.

if you were just disconnected and tried to join another server and got this message just wait a couple of minutes. If it's a chronic problem then contact whoever

That sucks man..

I do feel sorry that happened.

But there is options.. you can get it replaced... and even contacting the company with the problem will work too...
although you may have to prove that you actually own a legitimate copy...

product key theft is common.. it happened with q3a when that came out and id software has issued out new keys to those who legitimatly owns the game but couldnt use the key because of theft..

You're absolutely right. If you're paying a whole $50 for a game, at least $10 of that should go towards assembling a specialized vigilante task force to seek out and annihilate any cd key generator programmer. They should also capture Osama Bin Laden and Kim Jong II while they're at it, since that would be just as easy and, I mean, we did pay $50 for the game.

Or VUG can simply have a simple way to prove that you bought the game, and issue you a new CD key.

I had that problem last night, it was the first time i was trying my retail copy with multiplayer even though i've owned the game for about a week. Thought i'd wait till thismorning and give it another go. Still got the error, so I re-installed it, and left the dashes out of the product key, and it's working now.

I spoke to someone else who had the same problem who said formatting fixed it for him, so it might just be a bug. He was running 64 bit XP and I'm running Win2k3 so it might be a compatability thing. I was also running a no-cd patch, i dont see how that would have anything to do with it but all i can say is I have it working now from a fresh install.

If it happens again though I'm going to contact VUG for a new cd-key.

Yes, because installing unknown programs that interface with Tribes:Vengeance in unknown ways can't possibly alter the game in any meaningful way! We all know that PC compatibility is an exact science so clearly a NO-CD HACK couldn't be the culprit.

You have more excuses than Bush, and that's worth commending.

Enough already - what in the world is wrong with you? Did we run over your dog or something? You hate Tribes:Vengeance with a passion, we all GET IT. But really, don't you think you've made your point? Do you really need to post something negative about the game in every single thread?

Seriously, who hurt you? You're like Chilly, the Elf Who Could Not Love. Open your heart, let a little sunshine in. Instead of furiously trolling TribalWar.com and other forums for anything related to Tribes so you can input your two cents, go outside or surf Internet porn.

I may be wrong, but when you're on your deathbed I doubt you'll be kicking yourself for not telling enough people how much you hated Tribes:Vengeance.
