You hate Tribes:Vengeance with a passion, we all GET IT. But really, don't you think you've made your point? Do you really need to post something negative about the game in every single thread? Seriously, who hurt you? You're like Chilly, the Elf Who Could Not Love. Open your heart, let a little sunshine in. Instead of furiously trolling TribalWar.com and other forums for anything related to Tribes so you can input your two cents, go outside or surf Internet porn. I may be wrong, but when you're on your deathbed I doubt you'll be kicking yourself for not telling enough people how much you hated Tribes:Vengeance. Ironically my post had nothing to do with T:V, the game, and here you had a chance to take responsibility for something and you chose to pass it on to the user of your product, how respectable ;) FantasticDamage 10-25-2004, 12:04 AM Or VUG can simply have a simple way to prove that you bought the game, and issue you a new CD key. Jesus, talk about being flame happy... I'm sure there's some way to get a new CD key from them if you paid for the game. Though this hasn't happened to me for T:V, I have had my cd key stolen for games in the past. All you have to do is call them, explain your situation, and quite possibly worst case scenario, send them a copy of your UPC and receipt. I swear, some people act like this is the first PC game they've ever played when they complain about things like this. americanjoe 10-25-2004, 12:27 AM Do you really need to post something negative about the game in every single thread? I kinda like it ... lets the n00bie know not to buy your shazbotty game. now go back to making your patch for your 800 players .. oh thats right ........ :roller: Plasma 10-25-2004, 12:44 AM no cd cracks and the like are commonly used to not only crack the game (so you think nothing of it) but also transmit your product key back to the creator (usually along with others like halflife keys etc). Dont run them, or if your going to, have a firewall to check nothing is going on behind your back. F [a] C E 10-25-2004, 01:05 AM Chilly, the Elf Who Could Not Love. ROFL Menzo <3 Wulfen 10-25-2004, 01:18 AM Yes, because installing unknown programs that interface with Tribes:Vengeance in unknown ways can't possibly alter the game in any meaningful way! We all know that PC compatibility is an exact science so clearly a NO-CD HACK couldn't be the culprit. How many people had to resort to exactly what you described to even play the game? As if SecuROM never brings issues of its own to paying customers. XandraX 10-25-2004, 03:49 AM Bahahahahahahahahahaaa SuperTrap 10-25-2004, 04:00 AM Sounds like someone is about to crack. KnightMare 10-25-2004, 06:58 AM lol u got nerve. quiet you! Celchu 10-25-2004, 06:59 AM Yes, because installing unknown programs that interface with Tribes:Vengeance in unknown ways can't possibly alter the game in any meaningful way! We all know that PC compatibility is an exact science so clearly a NO-CD HACK couldn't be the culprit. Well before I tried anything i spoke to someone else from the bittah community who had the same issue, and they wern't using any patch and had exactly the same issue. Way to show you dont know what the fuk your talking about... crouton 10-25-2004, 11:12 AM Easy solution. Format HD, install T:V, run. If cd-key still in use, return to store. Unfortunately, Menzo's permanently cracked and his warranty period has passed, so we can't return him.... First Rule of PR Club is: NEVER crack on the message boards. Asura 10-25-2004, 11:17 AM well, i think we all learned some good lessons here. Warez si bad. Ph33r Menzo. CD hacks are for fools. Celchu 10-25-2004, 11:28 AM 1) the cd crack isn't to blame for this 2) I dont see the problem with a no-cd crack for a legally owned game (thats why they're allowed to exist after all) 3) Why the hell should you need the cd to play it when you have a product key? RunningWolf 10-25-2004, 11:28 AM I have never had a nocd patch cause my cd key to be stolen. Maybe you were trying to use a cheat? That does suck though. Celchu 10-25-2004, 11:30 AM that hurts to read summary: other guy (clean install, no cracks) cant join a server for 3 days. reinstalls works fine i cant join a server go to sleep, try again 8 hours later, still cant join a server reinstall works fine (both get cd-key in use message) noticing a trend here? it has nothing to do with the cd-crack, and we're sure as shazbot not using any cheats. Both of us used dashes in our cd keys the first install and left them out during the second install. Co-incidence? Perhaps, but hopefully this'll help anyone else that has the same problems, rather than being an asshat like Menzo who thinks its far easier to blame a crack than god forbid, admit the game has an issue. Krytoss 10-25-2004, 10:14 PM We all know that PC compatibility is an exact science... tell that to securom :roller: F [a] C E 10-26-2004, 12:29 AM First Rule of PR Club is: NEVER crack on the message boards. have you read any of brighteyes' posts? all he does in each one is BITCH about t:v. and with that in mind i wonder if it's just a coincidence that he's a kerry supporter :snicker: Asura 10-26-2004, 10:12 AM C E']and with that in mind i wonder if it's just a coincidence that he's a kerry supporter :snicker: dont even start.
