Need FeedBack on cycle ZoomHUD T1/T2 Style

Okies heres the deal..I am working on another hud, something to emulate what we had in T1/T2 for cycling thru zoom levels (green box)..

What i wanted to know is what do you guys want as far as options/features?

Example would you like it to fade out or just disappear after X amount of time?
Do you want to beable to change the color of the box?
Do you want a Label with it? (ie: x2.0)Like the current ZoomHud thats byteasc posted.
Do you want the label and the hud linked as far as fading time or disappearing?

Reason i am asking all this is so i know which direction i should go with this.It'll save me some time, plus ya'll will get something you will enjoy.

Here are some alpha test screens for you..Suggestions ideas etc welcomed.
BTW! i am not an artist lol so the hud may looks like poop to you..

Answers in bold...Looking good so far! Constructive criticism...the green outline does look a little too thick in the first image, but the 4th image has a good thickness if you ask me.

ya thats from resizing a single hud, i may just make 2 huds to even it out better..

did this ever get finished?

still working on it...ran into some problems that i cant over come atm..plus the way i was doing the whole resize compared to zoom factor was ugly as hell..

I'll get it done just taking longer than i had hoped is all.

Might as well put my 2 cents in then...


A very quick fade would be good, but disappearing is ok for me.
Color changing would be nice.
Label, yes please. Make them disappear at the same time, too.


And I think you could make the border thinner altogether.
