Honestly I can dodge the vast majority of MAs on single player hard in light armor. If you jitter back and forth their aim gets confused and they will always lead too far, assuming you were going to continue in whatever direction untill their shot reached you. If you have a lot of speed thought you are right, the MAs can get killer.

I have played UT99 on Godlike and Q3TA on Nightmare for years. (That isnt smack :) ). What I learned is how to defensively maneuver. The key is setting up your shot while denying them a shotjthrough maneuver. If you allow bots on that level a shot they will kill you. It's a pisser to be sure. In the games mentioned, I learned to maneuver. I also learned how to make the best of the shots I developed. That will improve your game. (I just wish there were bots for this purpose in MP).

I learned (in the other games) that you cant frag in those cases. Its more like physical chess, one mistake and you pay a price. Good maneuver and they do. I havent played SP on hard yet. But your description sounds about right.
