Like Sony did with Evercrack 2

Regal Cinemas has TheTwenty which is pre-movie digital theater.

Just an idea..

They're busy with their big-name seller, HL2.

VU is gonna be mad at the number of Steam orders for HL2.

please, PLEASE do. those trailers are A+ material, would be perfectly acceptable in a theatre. I've seen worse movie trailers, much worse. would bring alot of newbies to the game as well :D

Umm... do you know how much it COSTS to do those theater trailers?

Neither do I, but I bet it's damned expensive. ;)

To date I've only seen Ever Smack II (Soney) and Mechwarrior 4 (Microsoft) game trailers in theaters and both of those a funded by companies with A LOT more jucie than VUG.

VU won't see a penny of this portion of the sales, will they?

Nope. That is why they had this conflict with Valve recently.

EDIT: Is it just me or is VU turining into another EA? A money-eating company which buys out everyone and doesn't care for anything but the largest selling titles?

The game as it sits now isn't worthy of great advertising imo. I'm almost embarassed to recommend it to friends, though reluctantly I have with false hopes of a all-fixing patch and a repsonsive dev team. :-/
