Is the MP demo still running?

I heard from my brother that the Multiplayer Demo is still playable. This would, obviously, be affecting the amount of people playing the real game if it were true. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Sure. Everyone who bought the retail is playing the (free) MP demo because they're .... oh wait.

MP Demo is available and playable because it's a demo. Why pull something that can bring in new people? 4 maps gets pretty boring real quick - if they like it, they'll buy it.

Plus the euros had to have something to play they get/got it (retail) like 16 days after us (today i think) so it wouldnt have been fair to shut it down.

I dont know about everyone else here but I like to demo a game before I buy it. So your suggesting closing down the demo therefor making it so people have to buy to game before the can find out what the game is like (Not everyone is rich enought to spend $30-$50 on a whim.).

Sounds to me like that would Hurts sales rather than improve them. Please think before you post.

That's the reality. The retail version has surpassed the demo version, but on average, the same amount of people play demo than play retail.

T:V was just released in Europe and most of the people wont get it until next week. I think we have still one demo match on sunday. :)

That graph is retarded. Honestly, go in and count how many players there are playing T2. Don't forget to take off the 400 bots in there.

Well I like the tv demo because they have a Ultra TV mod out for it where as they dont for retail yet . Now if I can only get my Ultra tv server up and running ...
