I presently have a Kingston 512MB stick of PC-3200 in my computer and get caching issues when I play Vengeance....and I am ready to purchase another 512. Will I risk anything by buying another brand which could save me some money? Or should I just buy another Kingston brand stick?

If you run your Kingston at aggressive timing values the new RAM might not be able to handle it so you'll have to not be so aggressive. But if you just stick with default timing values and don't overclock you should be fine.

I don't OC my memory at all...guess I am worried about frying it and costing myself another $70. Any good tips on OCing with an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard?

Check mobo site for ram compatibility before you buy. I am running mixed brands right now with no problem. Of course I have to run the ram at speeds of the slower no name brand.
