I keep getting "Installation Failed" message after going through all 4 discs!
I have already checked the online support docs for install shield but nothing seems to let complete the installation.
I had the same problem when trying to install the MP demo. MP Beta installed fine and I uninstalled it before running the Mp demo. I had hoped that the full version game would not have this problem I was wrong :(

SecureROM was used to protect the CD's from piracy. (Something the T1 vets are all to familiar with :) ).
That may be the culprit. Search for threads including SecureROM.

Thrax suggested copying all the CD's to one folder and trying it that way.

If I copy the disks to a folder, when the game installs will it not ask for the next disc? or will it recognize the other files that have been copied?
I mean I had downloaded the MP demo as well and it was on my hard drive when I attempted to install it, and the installation still failed.

explore your CD, highlight everything and copy to a single folder on your hard drive.
repeat for the other three CD's, when it asks if you should overwrite something, say yes.

In most cases you should just be able to hit Retry and carry on when this happens.

I appreciate all your input.
Keep those suggestions coming :)

Thrax suggested copying all the CD's to one folder and trying it that way.Hmm, can I burn that to a dvd and install that way? With a securom crack it would be perfect.... :roller:

I just got home and copied the disks to a file on my hard drive and tried to install it that way.
I got the same result.... it went through the entire installation process and then instead of getting the ususal succesful install it told me that TV "failed to install" again :(
I just don't get it, I have never had any problem installing anything before.
I have Supervisor authority, running winxp sp2, P4 2.53 Ghz, 1Gig ram, Geforce fx 5600 with 256 ram.
ever since the TV mp beta (which did install, verrry slowy and ran well enough) I have not been able to install the TV MP demo, or TV retail version.
The only odd thing I found was that when I tried to install another game demo (Warhammer dawn of war) I encountered the same problem... it failed to install.
The only other weird thing I found was when I installed Starwars Battlefront, that game actually gave me an error message and a blue screen of death (first time on XP!) but the game installed and runs fine.
I have installed other programs in the mean time and they work.

I installed T:V when I first got it with no problem. All the beta's, demo, retail, blah blah blah.
So I get a new video card last night and decide to reformat my computer. I go to install T:V and I get this error:
I have an idea that it's the securerom causing it to crash, but I have no clue how to fix it. So fsb-ao suggests that I restart the windows installer service
start > run > services.msc
Find the windows installer service - Mine wasn't on, so I turned it on and tried re-installing and everything worked great after that.
No clue if it will work for you guys, but hey I posted this in case it might help.
