[Mapping] Pillaging Unreal 2003/2004

is it possible to take meshes and textures from unreal or other games which use this engine for use in Tribes mapping? That would definatly expand our pallete for creating new maps in the future.

Edit: I want those giant Endor trees damnit!

its possible. has to be certain file types tho .bmp, .pcx, .tga or .dds files or any .td3 files.

naw they are text files.but you can still import them
into the script part of the program...im pretty sure.

I have UT2K4 when I extract textures and meshes, what format do I want them to be extracted to? Then where do I want to put them?

Yeah I wouldn't go ripping stuff from UT. I mean it's one thing if you rip stuff from a VU title, but really ask permission first. Founder and I asked Sierra if we could use Starseige assets when we did the Mechina mod.
