Doom 3 single player bored me, really it did. The enemies repeat the same things over and over, the gameplay is flat and cramped, it just didn't do it for me. Call of Duty's single player seems fun, well done, movieish, but it feels too linear. The whole FPS genre tends to feel that way in single player, though, and FPS single player modes are usually worthless after beating them once.

While I've purchased games from other genres because of sp, I've never bought a first person shooter for that aspect of the game.

As for the reviewer: What other weapons does he want? An assault rifle? Maybe a gun that lets you throw pop cans around? Learn to lead?

everyone can see that the review was not the greatest ever in review history. But he (as most can tell) is new or not familiar to Tribes in general. But, isn't that the whole point of T:V? was to get the CS/UT/Quake players to like the game, and thus getting a larger community in T:V for more competition? Well, if non Tribes players are hating on T:V, and Tribes players are hating on T:V, what does that tell you?

One it tell me Data is an idiot (you should read the post before you reply, i was pointing out some facts in why T:V hasn't sold well, I wasn't ripping on T:V at that moment as it wasn't my quote). Two, that the CS/UT/Quake players don't see anything new and exciting in T:V to warrant them to spent 49.99 on T:V when they can just wait a month and get HL2, the game they have really been waiting for.

Some might say, fine let them go away, we don't need those pussy arus CS players to enjoy our game .... but then they load up T:V only to fine 500 people playing, and IG has to drop the game due to lack of sales .... you can't have you cake and eat it to if your not willing to admit your (T:V's) failings.

The same, however, cannot be said of the weapons in the game, as there are only four out of the eight weapons which I'd choose to use in a multiplayer game: the explosive disc shooter, the shotgun, and the sniper rifle.

ooooooooohhhhh kaaaaaaayyyyy

Well, you see "blaster" you think "bew, bew". You see "shotgun" you think something a lot closer to what the blaster is.

I think they should have just called it the "flack" gun ... but that one was taken already

on a related note, why does he have an expensive a64 3500+ but only couple it with a 128mr 9800 pro?

I'll be describing these minor differences over the course of the review, but just know that Tribes: Vengeance is not the same old Tribes we all know and love. It's a decent game on its own accord, but nothing warranting the Tribes label.
