Major-Lee-High 10-17-2004, 07:15 PM Good to know the mutators work then :)

-Striker- 10-17-2004, 07:42 PM No, that SDK doesn't work without significant modification. I posted that SDK with the changes above in source.rar.
Hurricane Harold 10-17-2004, 08:13 PM This needs a sticky or a news post or something. Has this been entered into the wiki yet?
Shoddy 10-17-2004, 10:12 PM Thanks for passing on the info.
byteasc 10-17-2004, 10:15 PM You don't need Mutators in ServerPackages unless its something the Client needs, such as a new Spinfusor..
As for WebAdmin, Mutator support is broke in the Retail version - I have fixed/proper version which I will get out in next day that will allow proper usage from WebAdmin and somewhat easier testing in some cases.
There are 2 Mutator classes - Engine.Mutator and Gameplay.Mutator
Gameplay version is extension of the Engine but has the new features for modifying things for T:V, unfortunately alot of it isn't hooked up or totally working.

I'm not 100% clear on this, does that mean that in my sucky renegades example you need to do it? Or not?
-Striker- 10-18-2004, 12:47 AM Hey sorry for any headaches I caused, I wrote this in a real hurry. Thanks to Novanix for pointing out some errors to me. Changes are bolded.
Btw you can reach me in irc: Striker|para

You would in the case of a new Weapon.. even if its just a variable changed... which if its the same weapon but modified values, there are better ways to do it that

Okay.. This is the only info I've found so far on how to do it at all.. If there are better ways to do it, what are they?
I'm noticing a depressing lack of information concerning any modding in Tribes: Vengeance.
Everyone keeps pointing to Unreal Tutorials for TVEd, for instance.. but I've scoured them and they -aren't- the same. I'm sure they are very useful to someone who knows Unreal Ed, but for someone who never found any interest in Unreal (Like me), they just aren't as helpful as one would hope.

Pachacutec 10-22-2004, 10:17 PM here's to waiting :P i'm memorizing Unrealscript and learning wtf the difference is between a mutator and a mod for the time being ;)

-Striker- 10-22-2004, 11:03 PM #tvscripters get involved

crouton 10-27-2004, 08:54 AM Any update?
Pachacutec 10-27-2004, 09:23 AM no
PJ just pubs maps and maps in a row and only pipes up to complain about feature X.
teehee.
I can see him coming back and modding the things in he wants.
