well prices are coming down, and it hasent been put on the shelves yet here, in euroland, i just guess the shops brought a load of them and seeing what there seeing they just want to off load them asap. it was 39.99 3 weeks ago went down to 36.99 then they just changed the price too 27.50 lol virgin have now offered free delivery £28 and as the sales assistant of game said today it could just drop too 19.99 middle of next month.

and my 2 cents is that the devs have packed there bags and gone to sort out the other many new games they have released this month.

some guy in twl got his copy for $29.99 in the states today.

Remember this is the same guy who accused irrational of conspiracy :)

Edit: They could be playing single player, also the demo has the capacity to entertain for at least 2 weeks.

considering it will be THE tribes platform for the next 5 years or whatever, I don't know why you knock the value, just admit it you're cheap like most of us and don't want to pay $50, but you don't have to insult something you simultaneously want to buy sheesh

When you feel like translating this to English, I'll post a response.

At least in whatever language I'm speaking.

ahahahahaha, you're actually calling the rocket pod a strong weapon? you truly haven't even touched t:v, wank off already

I never directly refered to anything related to the rocket-pod. I said projectiles, which for the inane: Disk, Mortar, Grenade Launcher.

Not exactly, I didn't respond to your comment I responded to your lack of ability to project your thoughts into a comprehensive statement.

When you feel you've gained the skills to do so, I'll directly respond to your comments.

I'm amazed you still come back sayingandat the same time. The missile launcher takes no skill to use in comparison with anything else in tribes besides automated turrets. The problem this caused in Tribes 2 is that players who were skilled would still be at the mercy of a weapon which is useful, even necessary, despite not requiring experience.

It makes certain playstyles stronger than others, sometimes even useless.

Someone sneaking into a base cloaked and SLing anyone at an inv or walking in a straight line is all but impossible to avoid in T2 unless the defense deploys sensors, if they do then the cloaker is completely screwed. The result of this kind of rock/paper/scissors balance is stalemate.

Irrational has removed this destructive flaw from vengeance, any argument stating otherwise that I've seen doesn't understand how this form of balance is a problem or doesn't know what the tribes series is about.

The missile launcher takes skill if,

1. The pilot has skill. Established that missile lock does not remotely equate to vehicle kill. Unless of course the vehicle being piloted is by a noobie like you and they are a sitting duck.
2. There are opposition members throwing up flares. Heck, missiles will also go after your own team mates flare.
3. A tank is attempting to run you over. Its VERY difficult to get missle lock when the vehicle is a few feet away.
4. You are avoiding being hit by a vehicle

In T:V I can see why they did away with heat seekers against the crappy pod, but the bomber could use a better deterent.

Just cause you sucked at T2 is no reason to to cry when you can't compete. T:V is alot like Extreme sports. It attracts those who can't play the real game, so put down the football and grab a skateboard ;)

Thats partially right, plus I don't like being ripped off. :)

Prediction: Another Tribes1/2 spinoff will come prior to the next 5 years from another entity

I love how you stick the "you've got no skill" argument at the end of everything menes.

Ok! I'll admit it, yes there are parts of using the missile launcher that take experience, but all of those parts are also included in every other weapon. The difference is they don't home in on the target, meaning the user has to predict far more often and much more accurately(also a staple of Tribes).

Yeah, even if they had wanted to put a heat seeker in, the pod doesn't change direction well enough to evade a missile at high speeds (diving mode).

The bomber rips anything up if it gets the first shot off (assuming equal skill levels), but someone in its blind spot won't have trouble lasting long enough to do some serious damage, with a spinfusor or rocket pod especially.
