I think I'm going to actually answer you just because your name is so original and awesome.

The Tribes story actually includes a digression from an imperial organization to battling tribes, do you think the tribes would be able to sustain the high technology that the much more unified empire could?

The pod isn't supposed to be the shrike, the shrike was incredibly unbalanced; the vehicles in T2 were all but impossible to take out without the missile launcher which required an average of 0 skill to use.
The pod is actually overpowered (nowhere near the shrike in that respect tho) and I'm not sure how it slows down gameplay either.

Tribes isn't about spotting tiny little deployables, and the mines are much stronger now, balancing out the time it takes to pick them up.

Using the mines as another alternate weapon really goes against the definition of mine.

Extremely powerful automatic defenses destroyed the pace of Tribes 2 base.

Specialized weapons like the ELF and shocklance are fluff that threaten balanced gameplay.

You couldn't jet with shields, that took away the best aspect of Tribes, and also their wasn't much strategy in usage; you turn your shield on and you're pretty much impervious til energy runs out, the new shield pack only works for a second or less.

T2's physics were very lacking, the only thing it did better than T:V in that respect, in my opinion, was skiing due to the lack of carving in T:V.

Again, options that specialized don't really add another playstyle to gameplay, they just threaten to topple it.

Actually, T:V has 4 packs.

Having a similar system of spawning and out of bounds lines doesn't make a game the same as another.

I don't generally base my judgement of games on their odors, can you tell me something else that is wrong with the bases?

T:V has the capacity for control switches.

How does basing the next in the series off of the game you say fractured the community bring the community back together?

Watch out for those nasty advertisers!

Ding ding ding!

In this round we have a fairly typical elitesit TW vet who's never afraid to call you a moron for not sharing his opinion.
VS
A remarkably uninspired and rather boring Troll who has yet to raise a vaild point in his countless hours of dumping worthless garbage into the comunity!!

In your mind you probably did, but what you typed was just a bunch of bullshit in a last ditch effort to claim stakes in a rant against T2 players.

I think I'm going to actually answer you just because your name is so original and awesome.

The Tribes story actually includes a digression from an imperial organization to battling tribes, do you think the tribes would be able to sustain the high technology that the much more unified empire could? it was meant to be a few hundred years before t1 or t2 so how the hell did they get teleports.

The pod isn't supposed to be the shrike, the shrike was incredibly unbalanced; the vehicles in T2 were all but impossible to take out without the missile launcher which required an average of 0 skill to use.
The pod is actually overpowered (nowhere near the shrike in that respect tho) and I'm not sure how it slows down gameplay either.

lol pod is more unbalanced than the shrike at least with the shrike ammo was limited not like the pod.

Tribes isn't about spotting tiny little deployables, and the mines are much stronger now, balancing out the time it takes to pick them up. i

its the size of the mines and the way there ont incluced on the invent list

Using the mines as another alternate weapon really goes against the definition of mine.

Extremely powerful automatic defenses destroyed the pace of Tribes 2 base.

no it never

Specialized weapons like the ELF and shocklance are fluff that threaten balanced gameplay.

never

You couldn't jet with shields, that took away the best aspect of Tribes, and also their wasn't much strategy in usage; you turn your shield on and you're pretty much impervious til energy runs out, the new shield pack only works for a second or less.

never said jet and shields together, well it was all about energy control in tribes.

T2's physics were very lacking, the only thing it did better than T:V in that respect, in my opinion, was skiing due to the lack of carving in T:V.

physics were much better than ut oops i mean tv

Again, options that specialized don't really add another playstyle to gameplay, they just threaten to topple it.

Actually, T:V has 4 packs. yer bitch packs no point in using them

Having a similar system of spawning and out of bounds lines doesn't make a game the same as another. yes it does when you can teleport to other areas or spawn next to the enemy base.

I don't generally base my judgement of games on their odors, can you tell me something else that is wrong with the bases? there too crap

T:V has the capacity for control switches.

How does basing the next in the series off of the game you say fractured the community bring the community back together?

wow the same opinion everyone has at first when comparing it to older games and not having actually played and learned all the weps, skills, etc...

guess what? It has tons of skills and depth, it's just not EFFING identical to the past ones. something tells me this is going to take awhile for people to get because too many are prejudiced at the get go and simply make comparisons, don't bother to play and learn
