I mean its using the Unreal engine and yet a highend system cant run it nicely. I get slight pauses and jerkyness once in a while and its just not
smooth how i'd like it to be. i even tried turning everything to medium on 1280x1024. I tried some of the tweaks on some of the threads here but they dont seem to help. is this how the game runs right now in its current state? thank you. :)

Ive heard a lot of high end pcs struggle to run tribes vengeance with reasonable settings. My pc is midrange, 9600 with athlon 2800 @2.4ghz and it chugs to run it at what i want. I also tried the tweaks but they havent helped much :closet:

I've got a middle of the road box with a crap vid-card (GF 4 MX 440, hack choke) and it runs rather well for me. Even with view distance set to ultra high!

buy or build your comp?, know the bios? i think alot of problems on high-end comps for some may just be a minor bios adjustment, which would be 10 fold on all their apps.

you need atleast 3ghz to run this game nicely.

I disagree, im running nicely at 800x600 at high settings with glow/water at ultra, with nice frames. And a mid system.

If ya wanna see how good it is in game, just gonna have to find/bump into me in game. My comp runs nice enough for me is all im saying.

the point im trying to get across here is. if you buy a pre-built comp, definitely go into the bios and set it up properly, most likely its at its default setting. If you bought a pre-built comp and dont want to do this, then maybe you shouldnt own a comp or worry about playing online

your lack of forwardness makes me believe you're either bullshazboting or think "nice enough" is 12fps.
