Dragging out the CD Key

One of my clanmates installed Tribes Vengence, has it sitting on his computer. He just bought a new computer, so he wants to install the program onto his new computer. The problem is that his girlfriend opted to throw out the case that had his CD Key on it. Go figure.

We can see the CD Key in the registery on hkey_local_machine/software/vugames/cdkeys

But it' appears to be in hex or encrypted, because none of the hex to ascii converters I can find are working to translate it.

Anyone know how we can drag the CD Key out from the registry?

This isn't a request for someone to give us a key...we have it, we just can't pull it out.....

Thanks :)

maybe exporting/importing the encrypted key would work.

export it then import it where you want to play.

That's why I put mine into a regular case and wrote the CD Key in permanent marker. :)

I bought myself a cheesy little 5 disk holder for my T:V disks and cut the CD key from the paper sleave and taped it to the case.

I'm consitering if I should paint the case now, or maybe lacker a printed logo to it ro something...
