Could they be modified in the next patch to be attached to any flat surface such as walls and ceilings?

Fool 10-16-2004, 03:49 PM No, so stop asking. Cra2y 10-16-2004, 03:50 PM im sure some mods will eventually be out, thatll most likely allow it. dudeman 10-16-2004, 03:50 PM isn't the worst idea I've heard, right now they are powerful but only a noob keeps walking into them when they fire... but i dunno could be too annoying on a level like cavern ParoxysM 10-16-2004, 03:51 PM Nope... -iA- Sass 10-16-2004, 03:53 PM Sweet zombie jesus, NO. They serve their purpose of helping defenders. Destroying them would be magnitudes harder if they could be mounted on any object at any angle, and this is not desirable. Cra2y 10-16-2004, 03:54 PM yes, imo sticking turrets to wall/ceilings is a big no no, it would definitely be stupid on cavern. just my opinion tho. turrets could be toughened up some, instead of 2 disc, 3? EbolaVirus 10-16-2004, 05:06 PM Since TV has take'n all the defense tools away from us players that play denfense only Ill take anthing I can get HELL YES gimmine some turrets to put an the walls!! Cya Your defensive tools are still there for you. Turrets are there to HELP you defend.......not do the job FOR you. Amadeus 10-16-2004, 05:49 PM Your defensive tools are still there for you. That plus bumping up their proximaty fuse's radious could make for some interesting placement strats. Senty 10-16-2004, 06:02 PM right now be has an advantage when it comes to turrets with their flying bases, since the BE engines make for good turret locations. Total 10-17-2004, 01:01 AM Actually, for those thinking I was peaking from a defensive standpoint...I wasn't. I play offense and, quite frankly, I find that floor/ground mounted only turrets does not pose enough of a challenge. I'm loving T:V and have done my best not to compare it to T2, but this is the one thing I guess that has creapt up on me. Turret hunting was always a big part of offense in T2. Now, as far as sticking them to rock overhead in Cavern, I wouldn't go that far, but vertical and horizontal building surfaces - yes. That would pose a much greater threat & challenge for an offensive player :) Antares Reign 10-17-2004, 01:03 AM No, maybe mines tho :) BitRaiser 10-17-2004, 01:06 AM No, maybe mines tho :) HEY! I SAID that already!! Damn guy trying to steel my thunder with this totally novel and whooly original idea! I'll SUE! That's what.... oooh... tokies! :hippy: GB.Arkady 10-17-2004, 01:08 AM Could they be modified in the next patch to be attached to any flat surface such as walls and ceilings? no Gonstone 10-17-2004, 01:54 AM Since TV has take'n all the defense tools away from us players that play denfense only Ill take anthing I can get HELL YES gimmine some turrets to put an the walls!! Cya They didnt take jack from you (please note I dont consider T2 to be a Tribes game). Turrets work well as they are. They compliment the D, but do not take over the D. They also added quite a few fun toys. Deployable repairer, repair packs that repair everything within a certain radius. The Buckler can be fun to keeping HO out. I am a player who plays defense only in competition. I personally think the D in TV rocks (base D atleast) Riddick 10-17-2004, 08:00 AM I'd settle for the mines to be a bit smaller, or harder to see. Right now, a blind old lady can see the mine laying on the ground. /Riddick Amadeus 10-17-2004, 08:25 AM I'd settle for the mines to be a bit smaller, or harder to see.
