[SP] Any way to change difficulty level mid-campaign?

So I'm a few missions into the Single Player campaign and I'm wishing I had chosen a harder difficulty level. Is there a way to do this without replaying everything? I.e. I want missions from now on to be from the harder difficulty setting.

Type the following at the console;

set campaigninfo selecteddifficulty [0-2]

0 is easy, 2 is hard.

Might not take effect until you reload or move onto the next level. Not sure.

Yeah, I'm glad I started on hard or I would be in the same boat.
It does get hard at times though!

hardest part of the whole game was the blood eagle duelest in the early tournament mode. all other dueling battles between major game bosses were insanely easy. i played on normal. weird.

good info to have though ant, thnx for the <3

That works great.

For the benefit of any other noobs:
1) I modified the shortcut for T:V, adding -console to the end of the "Target" value.
2) I loaded my most recent savegame
3) I hit Tab to bring up the console. If this doesn't work, you didn't get step 1) right.
4) I type "set campaigninfo selecteddifficulty 2" [ENTER]
5) I hit Esc and selected Restart (Before you do this, look at your max health. You should notice a difference after the restart if the difficulty change took effect properly.

Thanks for the quick answer IrritAnt and the great game. Good job.

Now, back to work on Bioshock! :)

Is that all the difficulty is...changes your health. It needs to be 5150 hard!!

I don't think so, i noticed many more MA's on the NPC's part when going from normal to hard.

So on easy difficulty headshots can 1 shot kill the enemy snipers in the Assassin mission?

Which I like. I see no reason to carry a sniper rifle that will never snipe.

So then what would happen if you did say minus a number or did something over 2?

:DI just recently came across one of the old T2 development screenshots where the placeholder art for the ELF was still in; there's a certain irony in a dev making a GB quote, when the ELF looked like a Proton Gun at that point. ;)
