According to BestBuy they have the October 5 release date on record and received shipments in all stores by Oct 7.
Any issue that may exist should be resolved shortly.

That's how pre-ordering works there. You get a $10 coupon in the box.

I ended up getting the game only, then returned it yesterday to have the price adjusted.
What you're telling me is that I could have had the pre-order CD for the same price?
Oh well, sounds like I didn't loose much, but they pissed me off.

they still had the preorder boxes out, but they had the retail price tag on the shelf with them. i asked the guy what was going on and he was like "shazbot!". they had forgotten to switch the boxes...

My local BB got TV in on Oct 11th if anyone cares. I went there on the 5th and they said that they didnt even see a release date in the computers. they said it was odd because every other title pre order game that they tried had a release date :/

Clintooo 10-12-2004, 04:43 AM The local Best Buy here in Riverhead, Long Island, NY, got them in on the 10th, I picked it up on the 11th. The price tag on the box was 49.99, but I only got charged 39.99, and I didn't have a preorder...but hey I wasn't complaining. I haven't even played any multiplayer yet, I started with the single because I wanted to do it for a few minutes just to see how IG pulled it off, and now (~6 hours into the game) I've been sucked in...oh well, I guess I'll just do the multi once I finish SP. Nice work Irrational!
