In the single player version, I've had several cutscenes that were incomprehensible, while others are okay. The first time it happened was on Julia - The Present - Coliseum. The FPS drops to about 1 or 2, and the audio starts playing in a stuttered fashion, sometimes degradading as the scene progresses. It does not occur with every cutscene. If you like, I can try to make a log as I play that contains more specifics about which parts of which scenes are corrupt.
An interesting thing that happened was in the scene during which Julia confronts the BE warriors after winning the tournament, only the scenes wherein Olivia or Julia are on screen were actually experiencing the issue. Scenes where the BE were on screen did not seem to play out badly.
I searched here and the VU forums to see if anyone else had this issue - did not find anything. Apologies if this is old or redundant. Here are some specs for fun:
Windows 2000 Adv Server, SP4
Athlon 2500+ (Barton)
Asus A7N8X (NForce 2)
GeForce 4200
1 Gig RAM
120G HD
I have installed, over time, various codecs and such. I have the latest drivers for everything installed. I've tried several configurations of audio settings, and nothing cleared this up - in some cases, it caused crashing to desktop. I currently only have "use default driver" enabled.
And there you go.
