Who else thinks T:V has some of the cheapest packaging?

FedEX just came and delivered it. I open it and I find four partially shiny CD (like the cheap Imation ones I hate so much) in envelopes. Not even a plastic CD case. Now I will get finger prints all over them. I usually throw the box away and just keep the plastic case which works well to store the disks in but this is the first retail game I have bought that didn't come with one. Lets hope the game isn't as cheap as the packaging is. I'll find out soon enough.

I agree with you, it is not very attractive. When I went to the store to check it out. I had a hard time finding it, because it was swallowed up by all the other shazbotty games with awesome box art. Who was it that said, "Never judge a book by it's cover?"

I think T:V is great, but the box art was something less to be desired.

i didnt find the packaging that bad. what bugs me is the ingame GUI. huge clunky buttons & choppy fonts. hopefully this is something that can be manipulated with TVEd

Said it the first day on here that I have 4 CD's and can't even get a effing case. Vivendi is notorious lately of being ultimate in cheap. T:V seems to be the icing on the cake in that department.

packaging for all games has just gotten more and more crap over the years. I can't believe how many games I open that are just a cheap cardboard stock box with a fuggin jewel case inside... it's insulting. back in the day we had manuals that weren't just the jewel case thing... and boxes that actually weren't trash. it's an industry wide cop out though.

personally, I think you're a effing whiner...

were you expecting the other bobbleheads on this forum to post their thoughts on this as well?

let me know how much fun you're having with your super duper doom3 packaging, I hear the jewel case has a built-in hook commonly used by proctologists for the extraction of large objects in the anal retentive hole...

Not to mention that the key is now easier than ever to loose. It is just a sticker on a white CD envelop that can easily be thrown away unless you look at both sides.

god forbid you could save it in a text file on your computer...

or better yet, make a rubberstamp at your local printer and stamp your forehead with it... problem solved...

I don't give a crap about bobble heads and collector stickers like the HL2 BS package is coming with. I just want CDs that don't look like home made cheap CD-R copies and a jewel case to keep all the disks together and protect them and so I won't accidently throw out the CD key. Is a jewel case too much to ask for? I'd just use other one but it is not like I have any that hold four disks.

for 50 bux (CDN) what did you expect? I went across the mall to radioshack and bought 4 jewel cases the same day i got T:V at EB. I don't really care about packaging.

Not that we're women... most of us would have really appreciated a jewel case to hold the CD's in however.

To take this a step further, I bought HL2 over Steam, bronze package. My complain is that if they have CDs, they better give me a jewel case. I don't care about packaging, just that they do it right when they do package it.

Ya ain't seen nuttun until you buy something from Atari!

They got so cheep that an entire production run of CDs for Never Winter Nights were of such sub-standard quality that they would shatter in your drive if you spun them faster than 32X!

VUG doesn't seem to be quite there yet...

Maybe they'll release a 'collectors edition'?

I thought the manual was extremely lacking especially due to the fact that Thrax started a 30 page thread on the very subject 4-5 months ago on what made a good manual.
