From what I've read, most of the servers are just sitting empty - kind of odd given that there aren't a lot of servers up yet. T2 had it's share of empty servers durning launch week, but it also had a lot more servers up and running (I bought the game day one, and didn't have any problems finding good servers with T2).

Anyway, hopefully it it get a lot better by the end of the month - if not, then I'd start to worry...

Good post. I guess I'm just possibly prematurly worried.

And for the other posts about my math...

I am making a generalization. I completly understand that there are more than 660 games sold. My point that at the highest point I've heard of so far, 660 people have been online at once.

The point is, Sierra needs to sell a WHOLE LOT MORE copies of this game to not lose money. If these early signs are indication of where T:V will end up, it dosen't look like we will ever have another Tribes game. Ever.

Looks like we may have to realize the game we love is really dead?

I'm sick of these threads

I agree, people need to wait a month before peeing their pants.

You have to remember that VU doesn't care who plays the game, they just care who buys it. A million people could be playing SP right now with only one guy online, and it'd be a roaring success.

That assumes "best-case" numbers.

More realistic to derate by 40-60% to account for free, discounted, demo, bootleg, players.
That would make it around 10-15K at best.

wow.. you are really dumb.
