I got T:V as a gift from my brother since he knew I liked T2. If he hadn't have gotten it for me, I would not have bought it myself mainly because it runs like crap on my computer. My specs are: p4 2.0ghz 1gig ram ati radeon 9700 pro, and I get sub 20 fps. :(

Why are you so interested in seeing t:v fail?

...it runs like crap on my computer. My specs are: p4 2.0ghz 1gig ram ati radeon 9700 pro, and I get sub 20 fps. :(Wow, you must really have some system setup problem.

I have a P4, 2.4 Ghz, 768MB ram, ATI Radeon 9100 PCI 64MB video, 256Kbps DSL, and it runs fine.

EDIT: I play the Multi-player Demo on the 1024x768 MEDIUM setting, FOG Ultra High. I average around 40 FPS. I get higher FPS on the LOW setting.

I think you have a setup problem.

EDIT: I'm still undecided until they get a better Single Player demo out.
It needs to show more than just a cut-scene and deathmatch. It needs to give a few sample objectives.

Would be a good point, but you missed something. Game on 40th place had 140 players. So LESS than 140 at 8:00 is a horrible result.

Where is "Downloaded the game and liked it"?

j/k :roller:

Over here. (http://www.tribalwar.com/forums/login.php?do=logout)

And yeah I keep reading about people with some nice PCs having frame rate issues. Must be one of two things:

1) PC problem. Bad drivers, too much background tasks running, etc. or;

2) Game settings. I suspect these people may be trying to play at 1600x1200, ultra-high details, 8x AA, 16x AF, and so on. If your performance isn't up to par, turn the settings down, that's why they're there.

Personally it runs great for me. XP2700 (2.16ghz), 768 DDR, WinXP. I run at 1024x768, details at medium except fogging distance to ultra high. ~35 fps depending on the map.

Kid, you're an idiot. Gamespy doesn't track T2 properly, csports.net has problems too. It's a result of our dear VU magic with auth servers, probably. For more than 2 years T2 results were quite accurate on that list.

BTW - www.google.com. If you don't have your own, you can still search internet for a brain.

For satisfaction, to be honest. First, to show that I know the game market better than 1337 losers from 1337 forums. Second, because I don't want T4 in T:V style (aka UT style).

I've started to body-build my forehead w/ illegally purchased steroids and kickin' work-up routine. My plan is to beat you, with a forehead size of a moon. I hope I get my own zip code, too. :)

Thanks for the information, tho. It still doesn't change the fact that pork is better than chicken

Edit: LOL GET OFF MY INTERNET.. UUH OHH.. GRANDPAa?? am i doing this rite sissy|yavor??

Not actually since the game was released last Friday and not week ago like you said. Also those stats dont show how many are playing the SP.

I bought T:V Friday night Oct. 8th at EB Games here in Northern Illinois. I had already played the beta and the demo many times. Even played a few scrims on both. Sorry to say that I am disappointed in T:V.

I bought and played T1 the second week it was released. I played it competively as member of the enDless until T2 came out. I had pre-ordered T2 and my team is still playing it competitively on the BEML. I can remember both games having lots of patches and people complaining about different issues on both. Everything from cheats/hacks to gameplay to FPS. However, the one thing IMHO that both T1 and T2 had that seems to be missing from T:V is the game depth, uniqueness and functionality that made the two previous versions so addicting. T:V seems to play more like Quake or Unreal Tournament than Tribes (except for the spinfusor and jet packs) and doesn't provide that same yurning or desire for more and more.

However, as I stated, I have purchased the game and will play it because to me, one of the big parts of the overall gaming experiance is the team. Our team has been together a long time and we have developed many close friendships. With that I say that as long as we have the same core group of people playing, most of us will remain and play regardless of what game it is. I would think there are others that feel the same as I do and will purchase and play the game because that is the direction that their team is going. Don't get me wrong, I like the game but just don't see myself putting the time into it as I did with the other previous versions. Hopefully it will grow on me.

You've got to come out of your bubble. T2 had something like 8 patches and out of the box, 1/4 of people who tried to install it couldn't. T2 had way more problems than T:V. You just need to quit playing T2 and cut over to T:V completely. Going from one game to the other just messes you up. I did that, and it improved my T:V game tramendously.

There isn't going to be a T4. Anyone with the pull to make that come true is long gone from VUG.
