Didn't buy it. Don't plan on it. Game is pretty good. While there were a few things that annoyed me, I enjoyed playing the demo. There are other games on the horizon that are more interesting to me, however.

Had it preordered so reluctantly went and bought it. Wasn't impressed w/ beta/demo, and still not impressed with full.

Maybe it'll be patched up to par, who knows.

Majority of my time spent on T:V is in Single-Player (on hard). Which, I might add, is very fun and addicting (I plan to beat SP first before I head into MP and never come back). I've played a few hours of Multiplayer, and in my opinion, the maps are beautiful. The slopes, the bowls, just everything on the maps are perfect. It really brings back a lot of memories from T1. I cant say that I've found one map that I dont like (well, aside from the beta/demo 4. But thats only cause I played on them daily for almost 2 months).

A great purchase, and I couldnt be any more pleased with it.

As good as Tribes 1? I cant say it is.

But a good supplement? Yes.

What worries me is the lack of players playing the game, and the lack of servers up. I'd like this game to last (I'm sure we all do) but the outlook isnt so good at the moment.

Definitely fun, but I'm already getting bored of the new maps :( I can't wait for some mappers to get some custom stuff out.

Bought CS:Source and T:V on the same night. I'm playing a LOT more CS. That, and WoW/EqII on the horizon, means my T:V will be limited to having fun, playing a few scrims and matches. Nothing more.

The game itself is pretty cool, but VUG obviously doesn't give a eff about it, and by consequence a lot of people feel letdown and don't give a eff about it. No reason, at all, there should only be 500 people playing primetime a few days after release. T2, widly decried as an abortion of a game, had more than 1000+ each night just a few months ago (before T:V beta), and peaks of 2000+ when Classic came around.

So long Tribes franchise, and thanks for all the fish.

I bought the game on Wensday the 6th. I like it while at the same time I don't. I have played it quite a bit since then.

The retail version is pretty much the same as the MP demo. They say it is exactly the same but , I can't put my finger on it , but it feels slightly different physics wise. The retail is more like T2 than the Beta. The beta was more like t1.

I bought it because I want to keep competing with my friends. teammates I have been playing tribes with since T1. But It is not grabbing me with the same intensity as T1 and T2 did.. I was basically addicted to t1 & t2,, could'nt wait to get home and play.. found every second possible to play... I just don't feel that with TV yet, I am hoping it will come, but not yet.

1. I think they nerfed the jets too much.
2. They need to speed up the spinfusor fire rate slightly.
3. Make normal skiing(skiing without boost or DJ) faster.
4. Reintroduce Ski Carving.
5.Tame down the overpowered Pod, or give us a better way to kill it. The rocket Pod which was supposed to be the vehicle takerdowner is a useless joke. You are better off sniping the pilot or getting a lucky Disk.. or CG if you are one of the CG elite, which i'm not.
5. Return the Vastness feel, Get rid of the caged/boxed in clostrophobic feel.

I hope the community, as the have in the past. Will come up with great new maps. And maybe Zod or some other code god will come up with a "classic" version of TV..

Until then I will play as much as can, learn the game as it is and try to become proficient enough to be a asset to my team. Adapt and overcome,, Take what you are given and make the most of it. Those that can, can become great. Those that can't, can't.

Is this linked to GD? Maybe it should be so that we get more people voting.

Bought it. Love it.

Sp was fun. Something I'll play again later (when dsl is down and what not).

Mp is fun and enjoyable. I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the maps. It took us years to find those perfect routes in T1, and now people cant play for a week without demanding to be perfect. I would like to see some larger maps, but smaller maps are fun too. Bah too tired to rant about ADHD people.

It's a good game.

Ok. Enough with the guessing and assumptions. State your opinion in this poll and make any comments you wish about the game.

yes pretty much consistent. i disagree with the pod stuff, but my god the oob grids are awful. truly hurtfully awful.

Definitely fun, but I'm already getting bored of the new maps :( I can't wait for some mappers to get some custom stuff out.

arid and junk are sweet, i like those maps a lot. others like utopia, highlands, stiridian, you can get goodish games out of them sorta. stiridian suffers from rape issues, ho is way too easy, the cavern symptonm.

stridian needs a higher ceiling and more open air pole things to swing off of in WIDE arcs. i dont think grappling was well done before it. i can make stuff out of it pretty easily, but it never feels like i have enough room, kind of like being ina small car.

yes i want some bigger scale maps. i want expanded oob boxes, i feel so CAGED. ugh. skiing, carving, some damage on skiing issues...

but overall i'm loving the game.

Bought it Saturday (damn ATL retailers) and although it's a Tribes game, it isn't *the* Tribes game. SP is tight, gotta give it up to Irrational for a good job there. MP is .... variable. It does all the things Tribes games are supposed to do. Skiing, MA's, capping, dueling, etc. But I think Vengeance has gone beyond Tribes in a way. Comparing it to Quake3/UT is pretty apt because that's almost how it feels. Everything seems tweaked for the short-term gamer rather than the long-term match player.
