No, but the poll is still open and the thread gets bumped every time someone votes.

I think they thought today was one year since the last post in the thread.

They thought incorrectly.

The only reason I stopped playing this game is because

1. Not enough players

2. Same maps hosted.

3. Pickups ceased

We still have a pickup every saturday. And your first reason is retarded, because if you quit then somenoe else quits etc. Just play because you like the game.

I liked the game when I voted for it. I mostly stopped because I got tired of odd slow-downs and ye olde grappler. That, and at least at the time I could rarely find (populated) servers that hosted more than one or two custom maps. Not to mention my team going and dieing.

The waning of approval coincided with the delay and cancellation of a patch.

Joining last night I saw only about 450 players online. That's pretty depressing. Hopefully the game is selling well for the SP game. But with such abysmal MP numbers, will VUG/IG have any incentive to patch or support it? There might be a patch for SP bugs, but what about MP?

yeah, how about that.

I still like the game, it just didn't hold me like some games do.

i had fun while it lasted, if VUG released a patch, i would still be playing along with lots of others, but why continue to play a game that is a hackers free for all

Why are the games that I loved most dying? T1 brought me into first person shooters. Quake hooked me in an locked me. Now T:V and Q4 are basically dead. Why are things going the way of the realistic, CS:S and BF2? Just because of their easier learning cure? And where did all of our hard core players go?

Most of the realistic shooters are improving and expanding, while the futuristic shooters either stagnate or degenerate. Ultimately its because the budget of video games keeps increasing, and that makes publishers cautious and unwilling to take risks. That works fine for the realistic shooters, because usually whatever they add at least sounds "cool." Futuristic shooters are dependant on imagination and unique new ideas.
