dudeman, I've got a starving teammate who needs a copy. Would you be willing to part with yours at discount? He does graphic art, so maybe some kind of trade?

I'll think about it and get back to you tommorrow. I know that it could be modded to something I like, the question is will it and how fast. I have been thinking about selling it though, so I'll give it a bit more play though and get back to you.

see, it sucks on its own merits. there's just barely any game there, and doesn't push any ground, and I might as well be playing UT or Q3 for the simplicity. Tribes was once better than this crap.

Bought it and love it...it's not T1...it's not T2, but it's still damn good fun when you're with a good group of people. If you miss T1 & T2, why biatch about the game not being them? Just go play T1 or T2, already!

Then what should I compare it to? Unreal Tournament perhaps? I know its a game that stands on its own, but any game is supposed to raise the standard, or at least be equal to it when compared to its predecessors. They did develop a great physics set, but the complete package lacks a lot of stuff. The "Tribes" feeling is gone in this game. It feels as easily digestable as UT or BF1942, which could not be said of either T1 or T2.

I'd like to change my vote to bought it and not happy :/

here and fileplanet are the only places ive really seen alot of coverage of TV... after seeing the packaging, manual, cds and lack of promotion it looks like we were lucky to get the game at all

I still think the best marketing push would be to dress up some babe in Juila's outfit (strategicly torn and with the zippers undone) and slap it in an ad for Maxim.

Bought it. Like it. Don't love it... but I like it.

It's a hell of a lot better than T2. Though not as fun as T1.

Even playing on pub servers with TK's and many lost folks who just won't attack, (or people who change teams just to be on the winning side,) I still like it. The play of others has been the most significant thing keeping me from playing a lot. When I get bored with figuring out the techniques of the grappler in private I'll have to play online more.
