NOT A BITCH THREAD

Ok, first of all, I really loved the single player. Seriously, job well done, and this thread isn't meant to bash IG's accomplishment.

This thread is about the Pheonix trials and the speed/capper training opportunities they missed out on.

1) Speed trial = lame easy chore.
During the Pheonix trials, there was a speed test. Why the eff did they not make it way cooler than that dumbass big cylinder for a map.
The coolest thing would have been to implement a mini xtreme ski map. I really hoped they would have had us ski some crazy course (loops and jumps etc) which would have been fun and would have been re-playable.

2) Speed trial != true speed
There was an oppurtinuty to show noobs how fast Tribes really can be, this point was never shown (was anyone able to go +200 in that cylinder?).
In T1 and T2 we have all hit speeds over 300 kph (I've actually gone so fast in TR2 that servers will crash, like +1000 kph). But this wasn't ever shown in the single player and it's too bad. At the least they should have forced the player to jet high up and land a good ski, not that hard really, and alot more learned about speed.

3) No capper trial
They failed to test the cappers role, and now noobs will still make those lame ass grabs and screw those of us on high speed runs (little complaining here). They should have had a trial where you have to grab the flag at least 200 kph (or whatever the units are) or you would get owned by LD or turrets.

Other than that, I really thought they did a good job on the SP, hopefully it will help this game become mainstream.

I felt the same about the speed trial, and it's too bad too because I thought the phoenix trials were one of the most interesting parts of the entire game.

"No capper trial"

Not really necessary, since on most public servers(CTF), people are either attempting to cap, base raping, or randomly killing. And sometimes one or two haggered folk desperately trying to defend and farm.
