Well first: The subtitles are missing from about 10% of the spoken dialogue in the cutscenes (a lot of what Victoria and her sister keep getting lost for some reason)... they sometimes (twice in the 5 hours Ive been playing) pop up and then dissapear within a second or two. (Im at the trials, so there's still more dialogue to see tho)

No biggie.

The other thing Ive been wondering about is the "menu music"...

Somehow, I dunno... the music doesent really sound "tribes-y" to me. The music ingame is... okay (and often helpful), but there's something too "Julia/Victoria/Daniel's about to start dancing" about it.

Not a complaint, just struck me as odd is all. :D

music is from the same guy who did system shock 2. He's techno, not orestrated. I guess that kind of fits the style, but personally, I'd prefer music in video games to evolve to the same level as music in movie soundtracks.

I agree wholeheartedly. I dunno, I really think the music for T2 was better (tho nobody listened to it after they actually started PLAYING :D ) There's just something too... lighthearted about it.

Best music in an action title I've heard is SSX Tricky (snowboarding game). That kind of sound engine that dynamically mixes the track and has area specific sequences would be effing awesome for tribes.

Oh the other thing I noted: there are times during cutscenes that all the characters act like puppets (I kept having Thunderbirds flashbacks  ) ESPECIALLY the Daniel/Victoria kiss...

And tonight I go see Team America... I'll prolly have T:V flashbacks then :D

The puppet thing is really apparent when Julia is jumping down all that debrie at the end, she floats like she's on wires

my only comment on the music is its too middle of the road. i'd appreciate, either a deep house kind of feel or a hi nrg techno kind of feel if we have to go techno.

dont think its that bad overall, but it could use more UMPH.
