Tribes Vengeance Installed Flawlessly in < 15 minutes

I just wanted to share.

I did it in 10 minutes.

Did your progress bar actually move after the first CD? Or did it go straight the end of the bar after the first CD and stay there?

mine stayed at the end of the bar.. but thats cuz my cd-rw reads at light speed.

maxed out on cd1, you could watch files scroll by on 2-4

yeah my progress bar was messed too

but no problems here either, and mine was much longer than 15 minutes cuz it'd sit waiting for me to put in the next disc :x

yeah i had np either, only problem ive had are a few sound bugs in single player and the fact that i cant play multiplayer because of a "engine version mismatch"

hmm.. does it show 1.01(xxxxxx) in the top right corner when you open the game?

then: new game->hard->crash
applied patch: new game->hard->crash
ended up I had to roll back my nvidia driver from 61.whatever to 56.whatever

if this had been some other game I probably would have returned it :( everything in the box screamed 'cheap', the installation was the worst I've seen in years (100% bug, doesn't say what disk to insert next, doesn't say what disk to insert when you start the game).. then the game crashes right away. this is the kind of crap I'd expect from some indie company.. everything put together just yells 'we want money'

What error did it give you with the crashes? Mine went smoothly as expected.
