because i have no money for tribes vengeance. it cost like 120 dollars for tribes 2. IM serious :\ i never buy games, but i think thats expensive for one! .. i prolly got scammed. meh

so is ball game mode still an impossible game to play,.....cause they could fix it if they listen to meeee but im not that special i guess

i'm with the "i can't believe this is happening" crew. i know someone will come out and explain it to us, eventually.

meanwhile, since my preorder copy is fully paid for (ya, imagine that, i'm a fan of tribes). i'll be picking it up but not opening it until i see some solid information (so i can return it just in case, duh.)

Might buy it tomorrow after class if only for the single player portion on this long Columbus Day weekend. It'll be nice to run around the new maps on my very own cable hosted non-dedicated and kick everyone's high-pinging ass when they join up.

So.. who's the genius behind this one? or can it really be an honest mistake?

I was thinking about waiting till the price dropped a little but now I'm for sure waiting.

my pre-order slip is in my pocket. it's going to stay there until this gets fixed, or 2 weeks pass. if 2 weeks pass i'll go get my money back.

Big problem here...

if there was a dedicated server package for download i would already have it hosted. but i cant, i have to wait for the game to be at a local store. then i have to drive back to work load the 4 CD install (hopefully i dont have to load any single player elements) either rip an ISO image of the play disk to load into daemon tools or burn a CD that i can then leave in the CD drive to i can actually run the dedicated server.

all that to host a server for the game which im already anxious to play.

i try to not be negative about this whole thing. but this situation clearly takes it in the butt.

im so happy I didnt rush out and buy this

I just want to make it clear that I am not just complaining out of spite, and YES I actually CAN afford to go out and buy a second copy. Its the principle of the matter.

I am doing what I can to get a server up and running in the meantime....
