for a primarily online shooter game "having a downloadable server soon" doesnt phucking cut it.

this is just retarded, the game doesnt need a black eye at release. this is absolutely one of the worst possible things that could happen on release.

1) bugs/crashes that prevent play

ok cool, they did a great job covering the biggest issue.

2) no server that can offer a good online experience in which to enjoy the game

many of us would have servers up right now if we had the ability. as it is those who are fortunate enough to have the game in their hands are having significant issues running the game, and they have already paid for it!

buy the game whether it works or not! whether there are servers or not! IG and VUG salaries wont be paid unless we buy a effed up game! they wont fix the game if no one buys it!

Yeah, everyone go buy stuff that pisses you off right now! Sorry, but I bought 2 copies of T2 on launch day and stuck with it spending almost as much time testing and configuring as I did playing for the first 6 months. I won't do that again for any title for any reason. If there is no T4 as a result so be it. That's not the fault of the consumer, it's a lesson to the dev houses and publishers to either have your ducks in a row or prepare to eat crow.

T2 server admins were left in the cold and it appears it's happening again. Shame on Sierra/VUG/IG them if they don't fix it.

No one's saying they won't buy it when it's fixed. I don't see the issue. If my main draw is multi, and multi will absolutely suck until this is fixed, why would I part with my money?

i'll buy the game when they fix it. I AM looking at the bigger picture. If i give them my money now, what incentive do they have to fix it? I will have personally already said "this is ok". By holding onto my money, i'm saying "this is not ok". i don't think it's ok, so i'm holding onto my money.

I do fully intend to buy the game, but i'm only going to do that when this gets resolved. hopefully that will be soon.

i am grateful blotter. I'll continue to be grateful by playing the demo until they fix this and my team can actually host the servers we need to host in order to enjoy the game as a team. When that happens i'll be grateful by buying the game.

Sure it's a valid concern. So is the fact that apparently they didn't listen to all the server functions that admins wanted, asked for and demanded for months.

Ultimately, if there's a price to pay, they're going to have to pay it. I already paid for T2.

yea, we really owe VUG/IG a lot .... they listened to people's opinions out of the goodness of their heart, not because they wanted to make a game that would sell. eff the free market economy, buy mediocre products on principal.

its like i said in the other thread- i like McDonalds, but if they made a McBirdCrap burger, i wouldnt eat it every day just to support them, even if they promised that it would taste better next week.
